Low Papp A and High HCG

Anyone else had this combo?

I'm having the invasive testing next week as the initial screening came back as high risk for Edwards and Patau and now looking at the high HCG there's also concerns around Downs Syndrome.

We were also told high risk of Edwards and Patau (1/14). We decided to continue the pregnancy with no further testing. My son is now a healthy, happy 10 month old. I know it's difficult but try not to worry too much. Good luck!

I can't remember what my hcg level was but papp a was very low. Other factors such as my age and ivf pregnancy affected the risk level. But everything was fine. Mine was 1/14 which is 3% and when you look at it that way doesn't sound as bad

For me the placenta was likely the cause of low papp a. Everything was fine until the 36 week scan where he was showing as small. I was induced shortly after as they thought the placenta was failing. He was small when he was born but perfectly healthy and now he's a big chunk

Another baby 👶🏼

Is anyone else wanting another already and possibly trying?

We have a 3 year old and a 9 week old and I just want another.. it took us a while for baby number 2 as we had miscarriages. I know guidelines say wait but I know so many people who had their next ones close in age (some meant to some did not) but I feel like it’s right for us.

Chemical and then pregnant

Hey, so I had a chemical pregnancy last cycle. I started bleeding or my ‘period’ for over a week on 31st August after the positive tests a few days prior.

This month I haven’t done any ovulation tests we just went with the flow. I’ve now had a positive pregnancy test!

They are much darker than last time. I’m just wondering is it possible to get pregnant and have positive tests this soon after??

I’m really worried after what happened last month and I just don’t wanna get my hopes up to then end up with another loss or not pregnant😢

Chances of pregnancy

Hey! I took a LH test and it was negative on the night of CD11, but positive at 1pm of CD12 (first positive)… we had sex at 1am from CD11 to CD12… then we had sex morning of CD13 (7am). I tested CD13, and LH was still positive… we fell asleep and did not ttc CD14-15… when did I ovulate and what are the chances of pregnancy?

How did you know you were ready for baby #2?

Me and husband are going back and forth on baby #2.

I always thought we’d be one and done, however my husband is desperate for another baby.

I would like another baby, but I just don’t know when the right time is. One half thinks to start trying soon, have the smaller gap and just go for it.

But then the other half thinks do I wait until my toddler is starting school? But then that’s a long time away really.

I just don’t know! How did you know it was the right time?
