Me and husband are going back and forth on baby #2.
I always thought we’d be one and done, however my husband is desperate for another baby.
I would like another baby, but I just don’t know when the right time is. One half thinks to start trying soon, have the smaller gap and just go for it.
But then the other half thinks do I wait until my toddler is starting school? But then that’s a long time away really.
I just don’t know! How did you know it was the right time?

Whenever feels right for you. We had 2 quite close together (21 months) and it's definitely hard at times but they have such a sweet bond. There's pros and cons to any age gap. Definitely waiting a bit longer for another one this time round.
Also there is no way of knowing how quickly it will happen so it's hard to plan exact age gaps anyway.

Yeah I think whenever it feels right for you. I also have a 21 month gap and my daughter adores my son and it’s amazing.
You have to do what’s right for you as well and for your body and mental wellbeing as having 2 young children is really difficult but equally rewarding.
We always knew we wanted 2 close together as we only wanted 2.
Definitely lots to think about and ultimately what’s best for you and your family x

We have a 20 month age gap (November 24 baby was my first and my second is now 11 weeks old)
We had fertility struggles conceiving our first so I wanted to start trying for a second as soon as our ivf clinic allowed (12 months post c section) and our first transfer for baby no 2 worked!
The one thing about having them close is that you’re still not out of the bad night sleep stage… and I think it’s a good thing to get it all done and dusted. I couldn’t imagine finally being in a good place sleep wise with an older child and going right back to the start again… prefer to just rip the band aid off 🤣
I will say the second child has not been so much of a culture shock as the first and she has just slotted into our life… but there are obviously hard moments and hard days too
Me and my hubby aren’t agreeing is it positive or negative

Are these positive? Been TTC for 4 years on and off, had a hycosy test last cycle. I don’t want to get my hopes up

Im a mama to a 7 yr old biracial (black/white) boy. His dad (or dad’s family) isn’t in his life. Im trying to get my son to understand that he is black also and that it’s ok to be both white and black. He doesn’t like it when we bring it up (we don’t push it). I asked him if it’s because his family (that he knows) is white. He said yes. I’m planning on getting him more age appropriate books for him with characters that look like him. Some black history shirts and books. What else can I do? Help this mama out!!
