Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

No real crawling. Scooting backwards, yes.

Hi there! Same with my daughter. She sits up great and can roll without any problems but when she tries to crawl she goes backwards. And a 80lb German shepherd is obsessed with her to the point we can’t do anything with her without the dog getting protective. So I totally get what you are saying.

Mines the opposite! She hates sitting up but she’s scooting and pulling herself everywhere!!! I think they’re supposed to start crawling around 7-9 months!! So it’s coming!! Even just little 20 min stents of putting the dogs in another room and letting her do free time on the floor would help!!

Our girl is just now starting to take little scoots forward. She’s been scooting backwards for a few weeks now. We also have hardwood floors (no dog.. but a 3 year old lol), and we bought a super soft thick neutral-colored mat from tik tok shop and it’s been giving her lots of floor time! I think she’ll be crawling in the next week.. which I’m not ready for lol

Mine does this sort of army crawl thing on his tummy, but not real crawling on hands and knees yet. We have 3 completely oblivious dogs so we got my son a playpen that I can put him in and have a bunch of toys in there he can play with. I try to have him in there as much as possible and so far he has figured out how to sit himself up on his own and looks like he is trying to stand up, but not crawling on hands and knees…

My son is 8 months today and has not start crawling yet but he pushes up and scoots back so I know he will soon

My girl, 7/7, is crawling all over the place! She just started last week!

my baby’s not crawling but she’s pivoting and starting to rock with her belly off the ground. and scooting backwards and getting mad lol. also rolling everywhere and sitting. u may already know this but bare feet helps a ton with traction and helping them know where their body is! my baby is much better with balance and coordination when she has bare feet

We are crawling and getting into everything 🫣. We ended up getting one of those bigger playpens for him to safely play in. It keeps are dog out and it came with a mat for some padding!

But all babies are different! Try not to stress too much! She will get there and then you'll be chasing her every where!

No crawling, lays on her back, lifts her butt to a bridge position and scootches backwards lmao

Mine has been crawling for a few weeks now and is sitting up and pulling to stand on his own. His daycare teachers have given me the impression that he might be a little bit ahead so I don’t think there’s any reason to worry yet, every kid is so different. My first was crawling early too (for his adjusted age) but took forever to start talking- seems like kids pick one aspect to focus on at a time, and catch up on the other aspects once they’ve mastered the one they’re working on now!

My son just started a few weeks ago. He was also crawling backwards and then within a week learned how to crawl forwards. With him and my daughter, who is now 2, it was the same way. Seemed like one day they didn’t know how and then it suddenly clicked. A couple of weeks after he started crawling he started pulling up to standing. Your little one isn’t behind. They all progress at their own pace. But don’t be surprised at all if you just see it happen one day.

Lol my firstborn didn’t start crawling till like 11 months, and started walking at 15 months. Rolling over took him until 7 or 8 months 😅. He was quick to learn to communicate but a bit on the slow side to learn to move around independently. Now he’s just fine -babies just learn motor skills and communication skills when they’re ready!

My girl takes off backwards and rolls wherever she wants to go but cant quite figure out going forward. She will rock back and forth and then launch herself forward.

Honestly, enjoy it while it lasts 🤪😂

My daughter is just getting in the stance and she rocks a little before face planting.

Wdy think of this for a toddler to learn word construction?

I'm open to anything else to start teaching him to read and write. He's 3!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Pumping advise

FTM to a 2 week old! I’m breastfeeding and then giving one formula bottle last in the evening before bed. I want to start expressing milk to give me some breathing room and also allow my partner to be more involved in feeding. I’m finding the idea of introducing pumping into my day quite overwhelming though. I don’t want to take milk away from my baby by pumping if he needs it during the day when being breastfeed.

Can anyone advise how I start pumping and when to do it? Thank you!

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.
