I struggled to breast feed initially. Low supply and a cows milk intolerance meant it was stressful for me and the little one wasn’t eating enough. We went to formula but I’ve worked hard to get my supply up and change my diet. My baby is now 10 weeks and I’m breastfeeding again. She’s latching and feeding well but I’m struggling to adjust. With formula, I know exactly how much she’s had and when she’ll sleep and how long for. With breastfeeding, it’s a learning curve all over and I’ve been caught out with her waking up v.hungry going from 0 to 100 crying within seconds. It’s still hard for me to get her to latch when she’s distressed.
My question is - for breastfeeding mums with babies ~10 weeks, how long do your babies feed for and how long can you go in between feeds on average (I know it’ll vary a-lot, just looking for a rough guide)?
Any other advice welcome. 🙏

Every baby is different, try to read the cues like open and close mouth, hear movement, “neh” sounding cry
With bf, you know it’s enough when bay is content and has enough wet nappies

My 5 month old feeds on demand and likes to snack so it can be as less as 30 minutes when cluster feeding to get my supply up or as long as 3.5 hours during the day. Average is about 1.5 - 2 hours during the day. She then has a long feed before going to sleep. She will nuzzle, get fussy and “neh” when really hungry.
