Fed up of people asking if baby is sleeping through the night..

Anyone else?! My little one wakes to feed 1-2 times I night which I know is normal, yet friends, family and strangers seemed to be obsessed with whether she is sleeping through the night yet!
Obviously, I'd love her to be, but also know it could be alot worse!
I feel like I'm being judged, as in if my baby sleeps through, then I've somehow nailed the whole parenting thing, and if I haven't, I'm not doing very well 🤦‍♀️ I know that's not the case, but its how it makes me feel sometimes... 😖 it's like it's the be all and end all!

Me tooooo. It’s so annoying . It’s normal for babies to wake up in the night . I just ignore them when they try to talk about it or give advice on how I can make him sleep throughout the night

Same. Mine wakes anywhere from 6-10 times every night since 3.5 months old and everyone is obsessed with how he should be "sleeping through"

So annoying! Just give them the answer that makes them shut up. Like “yes best sleeper ever” or “you’d have to be there to find out” or whatever you feel like

I just go “yes she is” and that shuts down further questions. Who’s gonna be with me staying up to check anyway 😁
Don’t know why people make unnecessary competitions out of baby’s basic habits- eat, sleep, poop etc. It’s like they are finding avenues to judge. So I’m like I’m winning this make believe competition get me my crown 😎

It‘s their way of trying to connect with you. They may not know a different approach

Yeah and they keep telling when she starts eating she will sleep through the night then i just look at my 1st daughter she is 3 and STILL wakes up 2 times for no reason i have tried everything

Its just a chapter with a hard test i hope it will pass but oooh how much i wish that no one interfere on this specially when i dont ask for advice or even mention it

Swing or bassinet

We've been co-sleeping/bed-sharing with our one month old (5 weeks tomorrow) since she and I came home from the hospital. While I love the cuddles I do want our bed back too. I will add too, that we try to make it as safe as possible and want her in a safe situation. She doesn't like sleeping by herself, however we've been putting her in her swing (pic below) close to daily, since she came home and at first she only liked it for a few minutes, now it could be an hour, before she protests, asleep or awake! She likes the music and rocking motion it seems and seems fascinated by the mobile when she's awake and not sleepy. We can probably get her used to the bassinet in a similar way, but I'm wondering if we should just get two of these? My husband says the music would drive him crazy, lol, but we could just do it with white noise and see if it has the same effect. He's saying it's probably good for her to learn how to sleep in different conditions. I do agree, as our older daughter can't take naps at friends' houses and stuff. Just not sure of the best route here. Anyway tia!

Won’t sleep in his next to me crib

My 9 week old (10 weeks on Saturday) will not sleep through the night if he’s in his crib.

Last night we managed to get in 6 hours but he slept with me (I hardly slept as he was laying on my arm). I’ve also notice he scream in his sleep sometimes.

I’ve had him laying on my T-shirt in his next to me crib and it will only work for an hour or two. I went for a 2/3 hour walk in the park the other day and he slept through it all and as soon as I got home he was awake and screaming at me.

He seems to like the buggy and car seat when we’re out and when we’re home only my bed, the sofa or my arms will do the trick 😭😭😭.

The only time he will sleep through the night and not wake up is when he’s in my bed everywhere else is like a 30/40 min max sleep.

8 week jabs

My baby had her jabs yesterday and I know it’s normal for them to be unsettled for a bit but she’s been spitting up a lot more than usual and also not feeding for as long and refusing one of my breasts, it’s really difficult to get her to sleep but when she does she’s sleeping for age, is that all normal? My first baby was never effected by them

Partners doing the night feeds?

Does anyone’s partner do the night feeds ? I’m doing the 9pm and 4am feed but My partner is a night owl and does the midnight feed then comes to bed. Baby is in the lounge with him until midnight then he brings him into the bedroom with me at midnight until I wake at 4am to feed him. Is this ok? Worried it’s going to get baby into a bad routine at night time as he gets bigger
