Partners doing the night feeds?

Does anyone’s partner do the night feeds ? I’m doing the 9pm and 4am feed but My partner is a night owl and does the midnight feed then comes to bed. Baby is in the lounge with him until midnight then he brings him into the bedroom with me at midnight until I wake at 4am to feed him. Is this ok? Worried it’s going to get baby into a bad routine at night time as he gets bigger

My husband is also a night owl and is on duty until midnight and then it’s me. Only difference is that baby is actually in the bedroom with me while I sleep and we have a baby monitor so before baby cries, he can hear him and I just sleep through it completely. Bedtime is 7pm for him so husband and I get time for each other between 7pm and me going to bed. x

My hubby is a night owl too but since going back to work I do the nights and the days until he finishes. Killing me off if I'm honest 😂 because she doesn't sleep at night at all or in her next to me so I'm getting about an hour's sleep a night. My baby is only 4 weeks old so don't know when this will change

How old is your baby? Mine is 8 weeks and on a good night we do a feed at 00 then at 3 am. As they grow older they will not need feeding at night at all.

My husband does til 12 or 2 with the baby downstairs and then I do from when he brings him up. He doesn’t have a bedtime as such though because he’s feeding too regularly. I’m hoping once he’s around 3 months that will settle a bit. At the moment it’s every 1.5-2 hours.

How often is your baby waking up in the night?

My baby is 5 months old and waking up every 3 hours. Some nights he could do a 4 hour stretch and some he would do just 2. It’s a bit all over the place to be honest. Is it normal for so many wake ups at this age? What is everyone else’s baby doing?

How do you cosleep?

I know all about sleep safe 7, the dangers of cosleeping etc etc, but there seems to be a huge difference between online and people I meet in real life. Most people I know report cosleeping, but online its villainised more.
No judgement here - I'm just genuinely curious what people are actually doing!

Comments if its something different.

Our baby has her own cot. She sleeps well in it until early morning and then only sleeps if shes on/next to me. I'll also admit to having fallen asleep breastfeeding several times (no lectures, she's safe - but other people have said they've done the same).

Sleep regression starting???

LO is nearly 16 weeks, last four days have consisted in him waking more in the night and thumping his legs like a whale 🫩 I’ve checked if he has wind and he doesn’t! But enjoys slamming his legs

He was sleeping 6/7 hr stretches but it’s now he’s waking nearly 2-3 hours so do his little leg ritual 🫩🤣

Stroke symptoms scare. Anyone recommend a Doppler monitor that actually works?

Recently I had a bit of a scare where I had stroke symptoms and ended up in hospital A& E waiting for 9 hours to be seen without anyone checking the baby was ok. I am now on the look out for a Doppler but heard many don’t actually work, does anyone use or recommend one?

Nursery funding confusion

Assuming my baby is born in June not July as my due date is the end of the month, I believe we would qualify for 30 hours funding from April providing I’m back to work.
However I have just discovered that the nursery does not have availability until June 2027!! I am shocked as it’s the nursery my daughter is at and we didn’t sign her up until after she was born. Choosing another nursery is not an option.
My question is this - if baby is born in June 26 an starts nursery June 27, can the funding start straight away? Or will we be made to wait until September as he did not start nursery at the beginning of the new term in April?
