How do you cosleep?

I know all about sleep safe 7, the dangers of cosleeping etc etc, but there seems to be a huge difference between online and people I meet in real life. Most people I know report cosleeping, but online its villainised more.
No judgement here - I'm just genuinely curious what people are actually doing!

Comments if its something different.

Our baby has her own cot. She sleeps well in it until early morning and then only sleeps if shes on/next to me. I'll also admit to having fallen asleep breastfeeding several times (no lectures, she's safe - but other people have said they've done the same).

We have been co-sleeping since he was 4 months old and he is now 19 months old. He started out in a cot then the 4 month sleep regression hit, and he was staying awake from 11pm to 4am. I was and still am breastfeeding, so it was extremely draining to have to get up and down out of bed. After we started co-sleeping everything changed and everyone started sleeping so so so much better. I know on here there is a lot of false information from other Mums who never have co-slept or expectant first time Mums. I just hate when people say that co-sleeping automatically causes SIDS or say that it absolutely shouldn’t be done. A quick search on any hospital or midwife site will bring up as you said, safe sleep via Lullaby Trust

We converted our crib to a bigger kind of bassinet, so it has an open side up against our bed (the crack is filled, don’t worry!) So he spends part of the night in his own space, which is nice for my husband and I since we have a small bed, but when he wakes up to nurse he can just crawl right over to me and we do side lying breastfeeding. Honestly it’s the best thing ever- minimal effort from me lol. Sometimes I put him back in his part of the bed, sometimes we both just fall asleep and bedshare. Either one is fine with me.

Every night she is layed in her own bed. When she wakes at 4am for a feed she stays in my bed until 8am/ the house wakes up. This is my 3rd child. With my first it was easy to be against co-sleeping because he slept so easy in his bassinet then crib. I learned about the safe sleep 7 during the beginning of my seconds life. He was a crybaby and we were exhausted I ended up accidentally co-sleeping and educated myself. Took extra time to get him to sleep in his crib but we were safe when we were so exhausted we couldn't attempt to transfer him and have him scream and cry the moment he was moved.

At this point I see ignorance on both sides. The anti-cosleep moms are just so terrified of loosing their babies and the pro-cosleeep moms don't acknowledge any type of danger at all.
Both sides need education.

I think I did it once or twice in the early morning when she was under 5 months, but I never actually slept while she was in the bed. And once on vacation around a year, but again, didn't really sleep. At 16ish months we went through a period of cosleeping due to separation anxiety but I felt better about it because she was over a year old. I'm fortunate mine was always pretty chill and an independent sleeper.

There is nothing wrong falling asleep breastfeeding just put her next to you in c-curl. That’s the only way I get any sleep and she is now 17 months. That’s how we fall asleep and that’s how we wake up 😀

I’ll preface by saying I’m not advising anyone do this, because it’s not the kind of thing anyone can just do safely.
My son began refusing to sleep in his bassinet around the 3 month mark but our mattress was way too soft for him to sleep on. I tried having him sleep just on my chest or in various other positions and nothing worked other than putting him in his baby lounger directly next to me on the bed. He slept comfortably and safely just like that up until around 6ish months old when he learned to crawl and it became a safety hazard plus we purchased a new mattress then and he just started sleeping directly on that with me.

Formula ratio

I have just found out my partner mixed our daughters formula wrong this morning. He made a 180ml bottle and only put in 4 scoops of formula instead of 6 (we swapped between 120mls and 180mls throughout the day as she takes different amounts so he must have got confused).
I have looking into this online (I know I probably shouldn't have) but now I'm really worried.
Has anyone done this before ?
I'm a first time mum so not sure if im overthinking it.

Waking up every 10 minutes

I need some advice help before I loose my mind. My 6 month old has gone from sleeping all night to waking up every 10 minutes which is absolutely exhausting. I think I’ve had about 3 hours sleep the last couple of days. I’m already struggling as it is but she’s just not settling, I’ve tried sticking to the same routine everyday before bed (tea no later than 6, bath every other day, bottle and then bed) She’s literally screaming when she wakes up and it takes two of us just to get her settled or when she does wake up she’s wide awake and want la to bounce. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but I feel like I’m failing with everything, I’ve been up since 5am this morning after it took 2 hours to get her to sleep.
Is this normal?

4 month sleep regression?

What does / did the 4 month sleep regression look like for you? I honestly thought we had already had it as baby went from waking once per night for ages (which was lovvvvely) to 2 or 3 times per night recently

But for the past few nights, my LB has been waking literally EVERY hour & i'm wondering if THIS is the 4 month sleep regression that we all fear??? I'm exhausted

Buggy decisions!

Hi! Has anyone started looking into buggies yet? We started last week, went to a John Lewis appt and attempted to get a deal at a baby show but left with nothing for both as we didn't want to rush it - it seems like an impossible decision!

I live in a ruralish area so need an all terrain and we're considering ones that allow you to double up as we're likely to want baby #2 in a couple years. Anyone else on this journey or have recommendations?
