The post dates waiting game is tough!

I’m 40+4, 3rd pregnancy and my other two were born after spontaneous delivery at 41+1 and 41+3 so, in the rational part of my brain, I know that it’s likely to be 41+ again. However, this time my body is confusing me and waiting is always hard anyway.

2 nights ago, I was awake most of the night with low back cramps, period like cramps and then very mildly painful contractions (more than Braxton Hicks as I felt it in my back and front but not the same as true contractions in terms of pain). Which were every 5-10 minutes for 2 hours lasting 45-60 seconds. I kept thinking it was going to increase in intensity like my previous labours and it just didn’t. Then I got up and ate something and it stopped. Yesterday, I had intermittent cramps/period pains and braxton hicks through the day then nothing from the evening onwards and today I feel totally normal again after a good nights sleep. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

There’s no sign of the mucus plug or anything else so I’m guessing maybe it was all just me being tired or something. Or it just didn’t get going. Who knows but it’s very frustrating and I would like to have this baby now please!

I had this last week, started contractions around 18:00 on the Monday and they stopped Tuesday morning around 08:00 after eating breakfast. Then had contractions again Tuesday during the day until about 19:30 when they stopped whilst eating dinner. I was told this was baby getting more into position ready for labour but not labour. At my stretch and sweeps I was then 1cm dilated and my midwife could feel my waters bulging (this was on the Wednesday then had a second on the Friday and told I was still 1cm and my cervix was still a bit thick and long). So far no further progress other than increased discharge/continuously losing my plug which I had thought I had already lost but apparently it can regenerate (need to look more into this today as just found out). No other progress for me yet and I'm now 40+2. I have my next midwife appointment tomorrow so will see then if I have had any further progression at all but not really had any contractions, just bearing down and pelvic pain

Oh, I also thought my waters may have broken on Thursday but nope, wasn't my waters 😅 I agree very frustrating as you gear yourself up thinking you are getting ready for go time and then nothing happens 😔 this is my first and part of me knows he will come when he is ready, the other part of me just wants to meet my baby now! Leaking waters?

I’m 35 weeks today wooo but… every morning for the past two weeks I’ve woken up with a palm sized water mark in my pants! - no smell, no pain and unaware of it happening…

I thought it might be leaking waters so got it checked out but the midwife said it was might be urine/watery discharge! - but it’s still happening.. thoughts? 💭🫶🏻

Pelvic girdle pain and birth

I have been experiencing awful pain. More so recently. I'm now using crutches to get around but it's more painful at night and when I lay down or sit down. I'm worried about birthing. I've got other issues and baby boy is estimating 8pounds at 36 weeks. I've been booked in for an induction 9 days prior to my due date. Surely he's going to be even bigger and I just don't feel like I've had any birth discussions in detail really. Ive only seen midwife twice and each time I've seen a consultant it's someone different. Has anyone else experienced awful pelvic pain and birthed a big baby?

Upcoming C-section.

So I’ve decided to go for an elective C-section, I know it’s the right choice after months of deliberating but I’m soooooo nervous.

I’ve had 2 very complicated births. I kinda know what to expect from the recovery as I had an emergency section with my first but I just feel nervous about being awake during it & what it feels like.. I’ve heard they strap your arms down and I’m scared of something going wrong.

I know every experience is different but if you’re happy to share what your elective was like for you (good and bad) id be very grateful. I feel really unprepared!

C-section infection

Anyone with c-section infection experience?
I’m 9 weeks pp and I’ve been battling an infection on the left hand side of the wound for 4 weeks. Now that I managed to get that side better, the other half suddenly started oozing.
I’ve been on 3 rounds of antibiotics, I’m pretty sure they are giving my baby reflux. What the hell I’m supposed to do??!! 😭
