Anyone with c-section infection experience?
I’m 9 weeks pp and I’ve been battling an infection on the left hand side of the wound for 4 weeks. Now that I managed to get that side better, the other half suddenly started oozing.
I’ve been on 3 rounds of antibiotics, I’m pretty sure they are giving my baby reflux. What the hell I’m supposed to do??!! 😭

I had to have 3 lots of antibiotics too. I think it contributed to my decreased supply. Ask your GP for saline and sterile gauze to clean it and then allow the area to air out xx

Yes, had five rounds of antibiotics, took ages to clear up and gave my baby oral thrush. The only thing that got rid of it in the end was a combination treatment - antibiotics plus the topical antibiotic cream fucidic acid. Ask your gp for this as it helped clear mine within days and then the wound finallllllly closed

I also had 3 rounds of antibiotics. And one of them I couldn’t nurse on, so I was pumping and dumping. 🙄😪
My incision didn’t start healing until five months postpartum. I had an internal bleed that seeped out of my incision for weeks. It was a whole thing.
Just keep going. It’ll be done soon.
I had a popped stitch and needed to go to the hospital every day to get it dressed properly. To keep it clean. I ran a blow dryer on cool after every shower. And I would (and still do 19m later) wipe sweat every few hours from under my belly hang.

I also had an infection. I’m 3 months pp and just fully healed and my incision closed again. I found that silver nitrate swabs worked. You can get them from amazon for pretty cheap. You rub them on the infected area and where your incision is open, but it will burn like no other and keep burning for a little bit but it worked for me. Fair warning though, the oozing will get wayyyy worse and a little blood might come out, it’ll be a black too. Oh and for me my skin started peeling a little bit kinda like a sun burn. But it’s all normal, I’m saying this bc when I first started doing them I was freaking out but my doctor said it was all normal. Hope this helps :)
