I’m a first time mam to a set of twins and they have just turned 7 months and I’m thinking of introducing solids and not just pouches and blended food. I need some advice on where to start as I’m not sure how to go about it. I’m so scared of them choking that’s what’s put me off a little. Some Meal ideas would be brilliant

Hi girl I'm a mom of one daughter and whenever I introduced her to solids, I began with small bite sized foods I would crush up or mash/chop up like tiny chicken pieces or mashed potatoes or sweet potatoes 😋 and even carrots (boiled soft though) even scrambled eggs, sliced bananas, cheese too is nice just think of softening the foods we all eat so that way it gives each baby a general flavor to different types of foods while also working with their hands and also don't worry girl I think every new mom goes through the stage of freaking out over whether or not their baby is going to choke even to this day I still sometimes get concerned with my daughter running around with food in her mouth .. 🤦🏻♀️

This is a post a little further down in this same group and I found it really interesting and helpful https://www.peanut-app.io/share/4GalBE8vM1b

I used pouches a bit and the melty sticks/fruit clouds etc but breakfasts I used to do toast and sometimes add scrambled egg, crumpets, pancakes or porridge/weetabix. Lunches were really hard for me as LG has CMPA but I done cheese toasties with yoghurt and veg sticks, I tried wraps and then sandwiches a bit later on, or I used the pouches/jars if I was really stuck. Dinner wise was a bit of anything really. Spaghetti bolognese went down a treat, tried beef burgers, roast dinners and they’re the few I remember at that age 🤦♀️🤣 but she’s never choked on food. I was told to wait about an hour after a bottle and start with breakfast and get them eating more while decreasing milk intake at breakfast time, then do lunch and then dinners so they’re having 3 full meals and not bottles at that time. Once meals are sorted move on to snacks, most childcare settings will do 2 a day, so a piece of fruit for 1 then a breadstick or rice cake or similar for the other
