Is this normal? Or is my midwife seriously lacking? She also hasn’t checked my weight since my 20 week appointment or maybe even earlier which I find really strange.

Omg me neither… I hadn’t even thought about it until this post!!! I remember it with my first but never had it this time round?!

I had it done each time I seen them
No one smokes or vapes in the house

I had both of mine done at the 36 weeks appointment

Do you or your partner smoke or have ever smoked? I’ve been told with both my pregnancies they only do it if there’s a history or one of you smokes.
Apparently they don’t weigh you as it indicates nothing, if they have concerns they may do. To measure baby they will measure your bump

My partner vapes and i used to smoke socially and gave up. I was told because no one physically smokes around me now that i don’t need to do it as there’s no risk.
Apparently vaping is fine around pregnancy and children! We still avoid my partner vaping around our eldest daughter and will avoid it with baby.

I don’t have my weight done, but I do has co2 done, considering my partner smokes and we listed in a grade 2 listed property that our heating source is a wood burner my readings have always been 0!
I also used to vape and I stopped when I was 3 months pregnant! I don’t believe the whole palava of second hand smoke because why is mine 0 every time!! Just to add my partner does not smoke in the house but our wood burner can be abit smoky sometimes! The midwives are all shocked by how it’s 0!

I only had mt co2 done at my 12 week scan. None of us have ever smoked or vaped. I'm 38 weeks now. I had my weight done at 12 weeks and 36 week appointment.

I've had my co2 checked at every appointment (ex smoker but gave up 4 years ago) but I've not had my weight done since my booking appointment.

I had my co2 done at 36 weeks and weight done on my 1st appointment.

I’ve been having my CO levels checked every appointment from about 30 weeks (non smoker and no one smokes at home).
Haven’t had my weight checked since my booking in appointment

I’ve never smoked or vaped but everytime I’ve had a midwife app they’ve checked it! I also had my weight checked at 8 weeks, 28 weeks and 36 weeks

I had mine checked at the first appointment and then noticed on my pregnancy notes that I’d scored a 1 or 2 at every appointment so she’s been lying on my files 🙈😂

I have mine done at every midwife appointment

CO2 done every appointment because my husband smokes although not around me. Weight was only done at booking, and when I’ve requested it (I’ve been losing weight due to sickness).

Mine does the co2 every time but no weights since booking appointment
I was told over here they don’t weigh you or comment on weight gain as have shown there’s no benefit to monitoring that

I have my co2 checked at every appointment. Me and my partner don't smoke and have never smoked but it is always checked. I also had my weight checked at my 34 week midwife appointment so they had an accurate weight incase I needed any medication during labour etc x

Had it checked every midwife appt x
Potentially having my 2nd little boy today and I am so nervous. Any tips for recovery with a toddler. My partner is having 3 weeks off but I am quite worried about the initial 6 weeks period.

Hello everyone. This may sound extremely silly as I’m 35 weeks and it’s too late now but all of a sudden I have an overwhelming fear of giving birth , my mum laboured fast with me and my brother ( 3 hours from the first contraction to having him & 1 hour from the first contraction to having me )
I am utterly terrified I am 100% set on an epidural but if I labour fast like her by the time we get to hospital sit and wait to be assessed, wait for labour ward , wait for the doctor to be free ect ect . There mayyy boy be time . I’m utterly terrified it’s all I have been able to think about for days I go to sleep thinking about it I wake up thinking about it I’m even dreaming about it now .
I don’t really know what to do . I was offered an induction at 39 weeks for pgp and when I asked to talk to my midwife about it at my 34 week appointment( that another midwife made to discuss it ) she said no we will talk about it at ur next one wich is at 37 weeks 😩

Hi! I have a few medical issues and the general advice from practitioners is to opt for a caesarean.
I’m just wondering how many weeks in advance I might know my date? I have an obstetrician appointment eight weeks before my due date, is it likely I might get my date signed off then?
Due date is currently 25th of December.
Thank you!

Just got my pregnancy pillow as I keep waking up on my back and just generally uncomfortable of a night time, but i'm struggling to see how a pregnancy pillow actually helps 😂 anyone else?

I’m 16 weeks and just don’t really know what to do with myself i’m a mess!!
