I s it possible to get an emergency pair of glasses? So my little boy was born this morning at 24 weeks + 3 days. I usually wear glasses a but left then at home (and all other bits ) as we assumed we’d be sent home again like we had been many times for bleeding / fluid leakage (obvs that wasn’t the case) and now I’ll potentially be stuck an hour away from home without my glasses for weeks. Which obvs isn’t good how can I get a free emergency pair???

Can your partner go home & get them to give to you ?

I would speak to the hospital. They will have an eye clinic that may be able to help. Or get point you in the right direction (coming from someone that doesn’t wear glasses so sorry if that doesn’t help)

If you need all your bits and all ain’t someone going to go home to get them and can pick up your glasses too?

Also to add it will probably be quicker to get them from home because they don’t just do prescriptions like that to pick up tomorrow you’d have to wait and pay for a second pair

I would say with the crazy and very emotional 48 hours she has had, she may not want her partner to do a 2.5/3hr journey so she is on her own. It can be quite daunting, especially with what’s happened so early. She/they may not even have this option. X

I'd assume not. Could someone package them up and post or courier them to you? It's quite unusual that you live so far away from your hospital.

hmmmm if you know your prescription or if your far sided or near sided , you could go to stores like cvs/walgreens if there’s one near buy and pick one up .. they usually have them on shelves

Does he have a license. Can he rent a vehicle?

He doesnt have any friends who he could give gas money to?

How to get my 11 month old to sleep though the night and not wake up for milk..

I just wanna sleep the whole night sick of getting woken up every single night.

Can’t cope with sleep deprivation anymore

My 9 month old basically refuses to sleep. He constantly wakes up in the night and like
Tonight I’ve been up 3 hours with him.

He’ll sleep in my bed but I don’t want him in here because then I’m just giving in and giving him what he wants. I don’t even sleep when he’s in my bed either because I’m so uncomfortable.

I don’t even know what to do anymore at this point. I’m a miserable person from the sleep deprivation and incredibly depressed but health visitors and doctors are useless 😭

Nursery settling in period

My LB has been settling into nursery this week and is doing amazing. Only cried once when we re-entered - can't lie I felt a bit betrayed having been on mat leave with him for 11.5 months but I digressed. Anyway for the last two three days he's been waking up 6am instead of 6.30am. Is this normal? Also they only do one nap at nursery at midday. He still has two naps as if he's awake for too long he becomes really fussy and whiny until he goes to sleep so I'm worried how they will transition him to one nap. Also, his nap is just before the time he needs to be nursery each day for settling in between 9.30/10am. Oh and for the first time ever he refused his bedtime bottle last night. Would love to hear your experiences and advice please.

Daughter diagnosed with not what I thought

My 13 year old daughter has been been having neurodivergent symptoms for years from age 9 more so, I have been fighting for a diagnosis and a assesment for her to get her the suport. I took her when she was 10 to the doctors due to what I thought was depression to get her support and they mentioned a possible high functioning autism into it. So we have fighting for a assesment for that for years. I have sacrificed everything my job, my life completly to support her, the half term meltdowns, the agression, the shutdowns and protecting as well as suppporting my younger 2 children. Days where she would kick the door down while I sit behind it until she calmed down as the explosion of her would be so huge I neeeded to protect myself and her siblings. I found out yesterday after going through right to choose assesments that she doesnt actually have autism or adhd but depression and anxiety as the report says and feedback video call. Not being selfish or rude. Baby has a cold

My baby is 9 month old and has a cold I have saline nasal spray, baby Vicks and a snot sucker. The only thing he’ll take is calpol. Does anyone have any advice on what I could do to help him, this will be the 5th time he’s woken up since 8pm, he’s just so unsettled and I feel terrible for him 😢

Help baby pass gas or burp

Our daughter has been having bad gas and has colic. When we feed we take breaks to burp her and try everything to help relieve the gas. We have done research and all the techniques to help relieve it. She gets the gas out sometimes but other times her belly is so hard I feel bad and start crying. Any help or techniques that work for you much appreciated!
