Gestational Diabetes

Anyone else been diagnosed? I had my GTT test on Monday and was told the hospital would call if I was positive but I’ve still heard no call from them. I had a midwife appt two days later and she told me that I had indeed tested positive but I’m wondering why the hospital themselves haven’t contacted me if that was the case? Maybe I’m just in denial 🤷‍♀️ but this midwife was really incompetent because she couldn’t find baby’s heartbeat and made me panic which makes me think I can’t trust her 🥲

Ive been diagnosed at 14 weeks (family history) diabetic nurses were really quick to contact me and gave me all the instructions plus the monitoring kit (glucometer ,strips etc)Im surprised you havent heard from anyone other than the midwife.
It would be a good idea to check again with the midwife or your hospital /doctor or maybe if u can get details of your diabetic nurses team try checking with them .
Im sure someone should have formally informed you about the result and gave you instructions .

Yeah that’s the thing, the midwife booked me for another appt 4 weeks from now. Which is odd because if I have GD, I should be informed on how to mange it straight away? I feel like I’m left in limbo now and I didn’t have GD in my 1st pregnancy so not much knowledge on it

Bottomless Pit

I had my 2nd baby on March 8th, and I AM A BOTTOMLESS PIT. Absolutely ravenous. Way hungrier than I ever was while I was pregnant! Tell me I'm not the only one 🥲🙏

Grateful I'm producing a ton of milk, though! Way more than my pregnancy, I need to make more space in my freezer 😅

When did you go into labour?

I'm 35 weeks and totally freaking out. I feel like baby is going to arrive anyday. So I'm kinda looking for people to comment 37 weeks plus 😅 so I can chill out

Over it.

I have officially made it further in this pregnancy than I did with my first. I will be 38 weeks on Sunday and 12 days today until we meet our newest little addition via c section. Who else is over it and ready for a DRINK!!!! being pregnant with a toddler is not for the weak.

Starting Zoloft postpartum!

Has anyone had experience starting Zoloft postpartum? I just got prescribed it and tomorrow will be day 1. I’m honestly pretty nervous to start, but hopeful it will make me an even better, more present, mom. 🫶🏼

First baby preeclampsia.....

Hi all. Have any of you had Severe preeclampsia and then gone on to have more children?
I had a c section etc in 2024 and have ruled out more babies as i was so ill. I feel an element of sadness even though i know one child is hard work and i couldnt imagine another. Just feel frustrated its almost taken away from me. Can anyone relate?
