Second baby

I honestly don’t think there is a right or wrong age gap. Any advice you get from people on here will be their own experience and I have heard great things and also challenging things about a huge range of age gaps so everybody is different.

Regarding the c section - medically they recommend at least 18-24 months between having the section and getting pregnant again. However, I have also read a lot of success stories from women who haven’t waiting as long.

My boy will be 28 months when I have this baby and although I can’t give any experience of having 2 with a just under 3 year age gap yet, pregnancy has been a bit more challenging as I can’t just rest when I need etc like I did with my first. You do sort of just have to ‘get on with it’ though which is making this pregnancy go sooo quick for me!

I can’t really advise on age gaps as there’s a 17 year gap between my 18 year old and 1 year old lol. But what I wasn’t prepared for was how different they both were/are as babies. My first was a dream. My second has a completely different temperament and needs to my first. It’s been hard work! So all I would say is, prepare for having an entirely different experience and if your second is as easy as your first, it’s a bonus! ❤️

They recommend atleast 2 years I think between pregnancies if you've had a section x

I am aiming for a three year age gap because it feels more manageable for me, personally. I have a 20 month old and plan to start trying in January.

There is no right time, each age gap comes with it's own challenges 🤣
