I was searching up for myself as well and I think the copper coil (IUD) is the one with the least side effects and the one thatās non hormonal.

I have the copper IUD or known as the Paragard. I have had it for about 1 year and half. I honestly havenāt had any issues.

Copper coil , Iāve had it for 2 years. Only side effect is my periods are longer than before but other than that no problems x

Copper IUD but insurance usually only pays for it if you had it in for at least 5 years since it can last up to 10 years. Thereās also cycle tracking which is what I do and itās effective as long as you stay on top of it. They also do make nontox condoms now, you just have to do quite a bit of googling. I have some brands written down somewhere. If your interested I can find the list

I had the copper IUD and just had it removed due to pain. Idk I feel like condoms is really the only not horrible one out there š But they are coming out with new long term (but not permanent) birth control for men, so could look into that and let him take a turn managing protection lol

Iām not too sure about side effects but I got the nexplanon implant in my arm last month. So far so good š
