If a girl dad needs to take his daughter to the bathroom in public and there are no family bathrooms … I swear video online of a dad saying he uses the women’s bathroom but always knocks and announces ‘girl dad helping my daughter go to the bathroom’ and I love that idea and mens rooms are disgusting but wanted to see everyone’s thoughts

I answered the question saying use men's bathroom but honestly I think that it's better if the dad goes in the woman so the daughter doesn't see everyone's penis if theyre using a urinal

I would’ve rather my dad taken me into the women’s bathroom than taking me into the men’s bathroom. It was a weird place for a little girl to be at. Of course he always made sure that there weren’t any other men in the bathroom. But it was the no stalls that was weird to me.

My husband takes our kids into the mens if he is alone. Otherwise we tag team, or I take both with me into the women's.

My oh used to take my daughter into the men’s. I’ve actually asked him to take her before if we’ve been somewhere like the theatre due to the queues in the women’s.

Certainly knock & say girl dad coming in with daughter to help her. I would be fine with that announcement for sure.

Women’s restroom is more private.
A little girl doesn’t need to walk in to a men’s room and see a bunch of grown men using the urinals. Most kids who do need help are only waist high.. I would rather see a man in the women’s restroom, helping his daughter rather than seeing a little girl walk out of the men’s restroom. Protect their innocence for as long as possible.

Public men's bathroom sadly is usually dirty and I won't want my daughter to be using this just because she is accompanied by her dad.

When it's multi stall, my husband usually goes into the mens bathroom. The line is shorter, they always have soap, and he knows not to let her touch anything in a bathroom. But I would never mind a guy bringing his girl into the women's bathroom. He's teaching her something she'll do on her own one day.
In my state, it's most common for bathrooms to be single-stall at restaurants and often non gendered when they're single stall so they're all equally clean.

Most men’s restrooms don’t have changing stations. Use the women’s.
