I went for brunch with a new mum friend, both our little boys are 7 months. My LO would not sit at and tbh he rarely does, he had just had a feed and nap, I also offered him a banana which he had half of and convinced him to play with multiple toys but he either wanted to bounce on my lap or for me to walk around with him and eventually got cranky/whingy. I wasn’t able to finish my food. The other LO was sitting calmly the whole time and chewing on his teether. I even offered my LO a teether. Am I doing something wrong, am I spoiling him by picking him up constantly if he’s not crying and just whinging 😅

Just like adults all babies are different and their temperaments are too. On any given day my baby might be an angel or scream the place down. Youre doing nothing wrong

You are not doing anything wrong! All babies are different with different temperaments and some are just much happier to sit and entertain themselves etc.

My first was like that. Could not sit still had to walk him around. Second much happier to sit (although not so much now at 1). Didn’t do anything different just difference kids but the frustration is real!

My little one sounds more like yours, he's always on the go and likes to go for a wander with me instead of sitting somewhere as he is nosey and likes to see what's going on.
The lap bouncing is and always has been a constant, he bounces himself straight after bottles, the lot.
Not he's pulling to stand, he bounces then too 😅

My daughter doesn’t stop moving shes super active and always has been

As above, all babies are different day to day even. Was the environment loud. And potentially over stimulating? X

It’s definitely just temperament, nothing that you are doing wrong. My daughter is the sort to just sit and chill (by chill I mean eat her food while staring at people with a judgemental look on her face). We have done absolutely nothing to make her this way, from 8 weeks old she would just sit (held) and look around.

You’re doing fine, you can’t spoil a baby. Babies are very different, just like adults. They have different temperaments, amounts of energy, and needs. Also, 7 months is still very young, being in a different environment with new people, a new baby, can be a lot and maybe he was just hungry and tired. Plus he’s in an age range where babies want to be close to their caregiver. Another mom should understand, don’t stress it. I’m going to copy/paste something I read online in another comment because I was worried about the same thing when my baby was about 7 months too.

Children are not same. You meet each child at the point of need

You aren't doing anything wrong, completely down to temperament. My eldest was just like yours and I wondered why she wouldn't sit there like other people's little ones! Then I had my second and she would. They are completely different personalities
So my partner brother and family are flying back to Poland for Christmas
My partner is wanting to go too for Christmas and he has said he’s going with or without me (I have no annual leave left and I don’t want to be away from my son for a week)
We went to Poland this summer and there was about 10 people in one house my son stopped eating and just cried the whole time we was there & I have raised these concerns and all I get is ‘I’m going with or without you’
I’m prepared to end my 9 year relationship with him if he does take him away when I have raised my concerns and said no he’s not going
I have said he can go before or after Christmas I just don’t want him going during Christmas my fav time of year and he knows I do all the bdays and Christmas plan it all out do all the presents get everything ready
It will honestly break me if he takes him
His mum and dad was over while my son was 4 weeks old……phones multiple times couldn’t get hold of him & he was gone for about 5/6hrs when he said he would he 1 - yes he’s apologised for this but he still did it
I don’t know what I can do🥲

My 42 year old husband went out last night for his friends 40th. Its now almost midday and not only is he not home, but hasn't even contacted me. Im 6 months pregnant and we have a 3 year old. He goes over to that friends every friday night fot a few drinks and stays until usually 2. A couple times hes come home at 630 but never this late. Never apologises. But this feels like blatant disrespect. Im starting to suspect cheating too... what do you guys think?

I feel like i can't tell my husband no. I can tell him I don't want to but for some reason it always keeps going and eventually I give up and try to enjoy it as much as i can. Hes not a bad guy but I have a really hard time resisting him when it comes to it. The problem is I am only 25 days postpartum and we've had sex 3 times already. I know my body isn't ready and I've told him as much. All he does is tell me he'll be gentle. Anyways he finished inside yesterday and I have been a nervous wreck. I am not on birth control yet since i haven'tbeen to my 6 week appointment yet. I got pregnant with our current newborn while breastfeeding and not even having 1 period after our toddler. This most recent pregnancy was very hard on me physically and our newborn is dealing with health issues. I am so scared to get pregnant again. I know its not likely that ive ovulated yet since I am breastfeeding still and haven't stopped my postpartum bleeding yet, but i am still stressing out.

These past 3 days especially today. Have been hard. I really need someone that’s not my mom to talk to right now.
My husband has been mad at me for 3 days now. And I don’t know why. I asked and apologized for things I thought it would be.
Today my son hit his face really hard on a table leg. Call doc they said he fine. I’m still going to go see a doc tomorrow just in case. But nothing I do or that has been said to me helping me claim down. My husband will not talk to me about it. And I know once he see it he only going to get more upset with me. I just need a hug and someone to talk to me. I’m a mess right now. And I’m worried like crazy about my baby.

How much is everyone's 8 month old eating?
I'm doing a mix of what we eat and pouches but I never know if a full pouch is too much?
Just wondering what everyone else is doing? She has main and then something pudding like e.g fruit or yoghurt. Sometimes maybe a snack or biscuit after. She has this between 5/5.30 and then 7oz at 7.15 for bed

I’m close to receiving an offer for a full-time remote position and would love to hear from anyone else working FT remotely. How do you organize your day? Do you have childcare, and if so, how much? Any tips for making it sustainable?
My son’s naps and sleep schedule have become very predictable.. so I’m wondering if 2-3 hours a day of childcare would be enough help for me.
