Had an elective with my second - super smooth process and felt like a mini vacation being in the hospital with baby. My husband brought our 18 month old the next day to see us (ended up being in I think 3 days/ 2 nights). The one bad/difficult part was my husband’s sister and her boyfriend were visiting from Scotland along with my in-laws they were all in my living room when I finally got home 🙈😭 Otherwise my husband definitely had to focus on our toddler more so I didn’t get quite the royal treatment I did the first time! All in all it was kind of a blur though and I recovered well. We were out and about going to lunch with baby while toddler was in nursery and my husband was still off work which was nice

Following as I will also be in the same position.
One thing I've been told is if toddler and baby are both crying at the same time, go to the toddler first bc they'll remember it. Apart from that I'm pretty much clueless 😂🤷‍♀️

Honestly it was easier for me the second time around. The first c section was HARD but this time I knew what to expect and it wasn’t as scary and the healing was faster I feel like

I think as long as you have the best support it will be fine. Unfortunately I didn’t so I’m not sharing my experience as by the sound of it your husband will do a great job again I’m sure ☺️

Help please

I am 40+4 today and I'm seriously struggling with our baby boy not being here does anyone know remedies that actually work for helping induce labour. I do excersizes, walks, spicy foods and pineapple but none of it's working. I'm having braxton hicks and alot of pressure on my belly but no signs of labour. Please help a mumma to be out 🙏🏻

Can partner take baby home from hospital if I have to stay in? 🇬🇧🇬🇧

I'm having a planned c section. Last time was during covid and it was horrid as was in awful pain, had a bad reaction to the oromorph and I pretty much was passing out.

I had to stay in for 2 nights after the c section. Baby was fine. My husband can only stay until 10pm. If baby passes all checks can he take the baby home with him? I won't be allowed to be discharged until at least the following day so it would be around 12 hours without baby with me.

Which name for baby boy?

I love both these names but they are completely different vibes for me. Is Hugo too posh? Is Cormac too rugged? Need opinions.

Scheduled C-section

Okay y’all, my C-section has officially been scheduled and now I’m officially terrified. 😭😮‍💨

In just 9 more weeks, my baby boy will be here! I know that’s still about 2 months away, but it suddenly feels so real now that there’s an actual date.

That’s only 61 days from now, and honestly, I’m excited and nervous all at the same time. I can’t wait to meet him, but the thought of surgery, recovery, and having a newborn again is definitely starting to hit me. So scary. 😅💙

Pains at 37 weeks

I am currently getting sharp pains in my bum when I stand, bend or sit. Could this be the start of labour.
