Bath time

My 1 year old randomly started hating baths she used to love them and now all she will scream and yell and want out right when she goes in ( nothing has happened for her to act like this just our normal night time routine) has anyone experienced this?

My niece went through the same thing and it was the soap irritating her down there. Maybe check?

If not that at all, then good. Just know around 10-18 months age they start to assert more control or sometimes becoming afraid of things they weren’t before because of self awareness and independence coming on.

My 18 month old has gone through random phases of HATING the bath. Screams bloody murder. Would only get in if I was in there with her and had to sit in my lap the whole time.

Ive also bought new bath toys that she likes and bath crayons. Thats helped!

Starting solids, effect on breastfeeding?

Hey mamas, my 6 month old has been having a blast trying solid foods. She will try to eat anything and everything and nothing slows her down. Has anyone had a negative impact on breastfeeding after starting solids? My girl has had lots of "breastfeeding strikes" and gets mad about nursing a lot.

napping/self soothing tips

my little one is 10 weeks old, and when tired he used to like being rocked to sleep and have either a dummy, a bottle or to suck his hands. over the last few days he’s started to really fight sleep and i feel awful because he gets so upset and it takes much longer than before to get him to sleep, and sometimes i have to resort to driving him around to get him to sleep, which with the petrol prices currently is not ideal😂 does anyone have any tips on how to let him self soothe/put himself to sleep? i don’t know if it’s maybe too early for that yet but i want him to be getting the sleep he needs and if he’s able to do it without my help then that works out better for him!

mother in laws 🤷🏻‍♀️

i’ll preface with she’s amazing, raised my trophy husband as a single mom, and i’m lucky she was a labor and delivery nurse for like 30 years but just looking for some solidarity here.

anyone else get deeply annoyed when MIL tells YOU who your baby is?? I mean a baby cries, babies get fussy, but MIL telling me “It must be her personality, I think she’s going to be a vocal one” etc etc makes me think, “bruh she’s been alive only a few months, she hasn’t had the time to develop a personality” and she sees her just a couple hours a week so I’m more of the mind like, baby just isn’t used to you but biting my tongue here!!!

Crawling

My baby is refusing to crawl and she is 9months old. She hates being on her stomach. She also isn’t pulling herself up. I know she has arm, ab and neck strength. I don’t know what’s going on. She just throws a absolute fit.

To pump or not to pump?

That is thy question 😂

No but seriously my breasts are so heavy and aching. I’m 5 months pregnant and my milk didn’t fully “dissolve” from my first pregnancy two years ago. I didn’t breast feed because I wasn’t able to produce much milk but something tells me it will be different this time around.

Anyone with 2 under 2 experienced this type of discomfort? Should I use the pump to see if anything comes out and if so, how long should I be on it?

Help 🥺

Napping at Childminders

So my 11 month old has been going to his childminders for a month now and if anything naps there are getting worse? He’s only having 1 nap a day there (naps fine at home) and they’re for about 35 mins. He’s always exhausted when he gets home and it has a monopoly effect on the night sleep. I don’t know what’s going on. Is this normal? What do I say to the childminders? Idk if it’s because they’re putting him down for a nap really late in the day when he’s way past being overtired. I’m worried because he’s clearly getting next to no sleep there and idk how long it can continue for. Thanks!
