I've been to quite a few baby groups where I've noticed a lot of her mums don't wash their hands after they change their baby. they just change them in the room and then carry on with the class. Personally, I find it gross and the same as going to the toilet without washing your hands. I wondered whatever everyone else thought.

I used to see a lot of ladies, when I used to work in the city in a big office building, not talking about moms here, running into the bathroom, doing their thing very quickly and running out out of the bathroom immediately without washing their handsš¤Ŗthat is scary

I just use a bit of hand sanitiser unless I get poop on my hands then ill go wash my hands

My partner and I always wash our hands after changing our little one's nappies. That's like a no brainer for us because we touch and cuddle with our little one afterwards. There can always be residue of urine and poo on your hands.
If we change the nappy somewhere where we don't have a sink and soap accessible, we use either water from our water bottle or a new wet wipe to clean our hands and every time disinfectant spray afterwards before touching anything else. I would do at least that if I am in a play group. You don't want to touch your baby's toys with dirty hands, neither do you want someone else to touch toys with dirty hands that your baby uses

That or hand sanitizer if there isnāt a sink close by.

I normally use hand sanitiser except for poop nappies, but might still wash my hands if I can get to a sink

Quite often if weāre out and about, I donāt purely because my toddler is really scared of hand dryers. However, I do keep hand sanitizer in my bag, so I always make sure to use some of that, it may be that someone sees me leaving the bathroom and thinks Iāve not washed but Iām just trying to get out of there before the hand dryer goes off and my toddler has a meltdown š x

Are they definitely not using hand sanitiser and Itās just subtle?
