Does anybody plan to not make any decisions until 42 weeks?

Which is a normal time? So many of you deciding on being induced at 41 weeks. Why? Why not wait until 42 weeks? Or at least 41+5? I understand high risk pregnancies. But rushing your baby out when your pregnancy is healthy? So many of you will end up with emergency c section... and im not saying it to add more stress to you. Im saying it because I went through it two years ago, when I wasn't aware of NHS system and that they mostly securing themselves, not us, women. I personally am waiting with making any decision until my 40 weeks scan, already discussed with husband. If baby don't arrive, elective c section at 41+6. Previous induction ended up with emergency c section.

Im only 39plus 2 and if she is not hear by tuesday im getting induced but thats my choice due to reduced movments and struggling with pain and stuff right now

I've made a similar choice, avoiding induction at all costs! Mine ended in an emergency c section as well and the whole experience traumatised me, was absolutely horrendous. We've booked an elective at 41 weeks just in case she doesn't come spontaneously, the only reason we're not going to 42 is because she's IVF and we've been advised that the risk to her increases quite a bit past this stage

I think everyone is entitled to make their own decisions and choices, we all know the risks and that it could result in c section, but I don’t think anyone makes the decision to be induced at 41 weeks easily healthy pregnancy or not

I’ve also chose to let my baby decide when he wants to come. I do not want to be induced whatsoever. And so far I have a healthy pregnancy.

My hospital only allows up to 41 as the risks increases for still born. I've been low risk throughout. I would be keen on doing some research and understanding the benefits of different methods

stop scaring people. it’s advised, doesn’t mean you need to do it and it doesn’t always end up in a c section- some people don’t even mind getting a c section in the end. it’s not rushing a baby out; it’s down to physical overwhelm, tiredness and going beyond your due date. saying so many of you will end up with an emergency section is so unnecessary and just because it’s not YOUR choice doesn’t mean you put anything onto anyone else. weird behaviour

If you had a c section did they announce your hemorrhoid status in the recovery room?

I don't remember this from the first time but when they were moving me to the recovery bed they flipped me over like a fish they just caught, examined my rear and announced "no hemorrhoids" to the room. 😭😂

Well I tried 🤣

I’ve spoke to a few on here recently regarding Csection date and said I’d be begging for a date at my 28+5 week appointment .. I tried but got told no 🤣
On a brighter note they’ve promised they book it at my next consultant appointment at 31+5 so let’s hope they keep their word🤞🏻🤞🏻

Is it really that bad if we dont celebrate my lg 1st birthday party?

Me and my partner has been torn if we will have a party for our little girl's 1st birthday party? As, my family will not be here( living in other country) and his family is somewhat not in good terms. So basically its just some of my workmate and some of his friends. Also, i dont know how to arrange a birthday party at all plus i dont usually dont know how much money i have to spend?😔😔
Now, i feel so deflated. I need help badly. Thank you.

Staying Home 😫

Hey, good morning! So, I've been told to stay home from work because it's not safe for me and the baby. I'm only 15 weeks along, and I might be off until after maternity leave. I'm getting paid to be home, but I'm starting to feel depressed and lonely with nothing to wake up for in the morning; I just sit around all day watching TV. It's been like this for three weeks. Does anyone have any ideas for things I can do during the day to pass the time? I can't get another job; no one will hire me, and I just feel really lost. Any advice would be great, as I'm struggling – there's only so much cleaning and organizing I can do. Thank you.
