Night feeds 15 weeks old formula fed

Hi everyone 😊

Just wondering what others do about night feeds…

My baby is 15 weeks old and formula fed. She’s gaining weight, but not loads, so I’m a bit unsure what’s best.

If she has a bottle around 9pm, would you usually wake your baby in the night for another feed, or just let them sleep until they wake up?

Would love to hear what worked for you and your babies at this age! šŸ’›

I spoke the the health visitor about this and she said as my baby is a good weight I can let him sleep though, but as he does occasionally wake up for that bottle at around 530am I can up the bottles by one oz in the day to fill him up more so in theory he wont feel like waking up for a feed in the night, but every baby is so different I would really ask for a professional opinion and ask a health visitor for advice x

My 14wo sleeps from 8:30/9pm until about 7/7:30am she just wakes up in the morning when she’s hungry. Been like this for about 2 months which she seems happy with, she’s currently moved up to 6oz bottles so I think it makes up for her missing the early morning feeds. Obvs consult your health visitor but mine laughed when I asked if I should wake heršŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤£

To the mums of 2 kids

When and how did you know to have your second? My son doesn’t sleep well but this is the only difficulty we have with him, he’s an absolute angel otherwise. Me and my husband do want another, but when do you know when to try? My son is 9 months, and I think I want one sooner rather than later, so I don’t have to get used to sleep and no nappies to go through it all again. But then I question if I could cope with 2, or do you just get on with it?

Baby bouncers

Are baby bouncers good for kids to use from 6 months keep hearing it isn’t? Anyone else brought a bouncer for their child ? And hasn’t had a problem

I just want a day off.

I am EBF, so it’s not an option really. I doubt he would take a bottle at nearly 5 months and my plan was to feed until at least 6 months, but most probably beyond that. BF is easy in a way too!

The sleep regression has been wild. It’s getting me down. I just want one longer stretch of sleep. Not feeding every 30 mins-2 hours overnight. I resent my partner because of it, the freedom he has. He doesn’t even need to ask, he can just go somewhere alone. I have to ask for a break.

I really enjoyed motherhood up until now, where the lack of sleep is getting to me.
