Get some Unisom! It’s the main thing all OBGYNs recommend for nausea. Just take it in the evening because it will make you feel sleepy. You don’t need a prescription for it and can even get it from Amazon delivered to you

is it safe for pregnancy?

i am from
the UK we dont have this :(

Try diffusing peppermint essential oil and buy a huge box of alcohol pads. Smell them when you’re feeling nauseous, it will take away that feeling almost immediately! A nurse taught me that in the hospital when I was pregnant. Im not sure if you have them in the UK, but preggie pops help a ton too!!

Hello,
I am completely the same, the Dr prescribed me Promethazine, they don't typically prescribe Xonvea in the UK (that's what my GP told me). Promethazine is a sedative though so it will make you very very drowsy but it does work for the nausea when you need it xx

I’m UK (West Sussex) and my midwife offered me Xonvea at my booking appointment because my nausea was debilitating. It worked incredibly. Took my nausea from constant and extreme and almost daily vomiting, to just waves of nausea that was so much easier to manage. I’m 16 weeks now and will take my last dose tonight as symptoms have eased a lot. Apparently it’s quite expensive which is why some GPs try to avoid prescribing it but it is the only medication licensed solely for morning sickness in the uk. Anything else they offer is primarily licensed for something else and ‘may help’ with morning sickness xx

Hi, firstly congratulations! I’m also an emet sufferer, had nausea with both pregnancies but never sick once! However I know how debilitating the fear can be. I would recommend getting some anti sickness from the doctor, even if you don’t use them just having them makes you feel so much more in control. Feel free to message me if you wish x

Congratulations! I have PCOS too and now have two boys 2.5 years apart (the second pregnancy was quite a surprise so be careful if you’re not in a hurry for another one 😆).

Are you experiencing nausea or is it just being caused by the anxiety at the moment? I know it can be hard to tell the difference sometimes. You will get through this I promise. With my first pregnancy I had actual nausea during my first trimester, it did ease off but was still triggered by certain smells or being in the car etc. My phobia got worse so my midwife referred me for NHS Talking Therapies which helped get me through. My midwife was really understanding and supportive, and prescribed some anti sickness medication for me to take during labour. I ended up having to give birth in hospital and had an epidural which also meant they gave me loads of different strong antiemetics. So tell your midwife and anyone who looks after you as they can do things to help you!

oh jessica i really appreciate you taking the time to comment!! i have always thought i didn’t want to be a mother due to my phobia, i worry about myself of course and then when happens growing up when baby is unwell! i have been waking up every night since finding out around 2am and having a panic attack (hubby works nights so not sure if it’s because i am alone) i have been prescribed some anti sickness tabs yesterday and last night was the first night since finding out that i slept through!

i have paid for in the past hypnotherapy for my phobia but it’s spenny and after spending £700 and seeing no difference i just couldn’t carry on! thank you for all of your suggestions and advise i will make sure to share with my midwife/care team xx

My 3 year old was bouncing on the bed and I was on my phone and he landed on the right side of my belly I’m 29 weeks and it didn’t hurt but felt like pressure and I haven’t felt any pain I have felt baby boy kick and move around but I just hope since I am in the 3rd trimester baby is okay? I did pray to god already and I’m just hoping that baby is okay. But I’m kinda worried

C-section booked for today and I’m so nervous

Woke up at 3.30am and I’m so nervous I can’t switch off again.

C-section was never my plan but baby is breech so we decided to go this route.

Can’t believe we’re going to meet our baby girl today 🥹 it’s also my second one so I sort of know what’s ahead of us and panicking about the postpartum 😅

Good luck to all of us mamas! 💕

Unexpected blessing

Never thought i’d be on these type of apps! I’m 31 and pregnant with my first. I’m 4 months now. I still can’t believe i’m pregnant. I’ve lived my life being told that i’d never be able to conceive naturally with PCOS and being overweight my whole life until about 3 years ago when I lost 85 pounds. And with my current partner of 1 year… BOOM i’m pregnant. I really accepted that i’d never be a mom and I was okay with it. But now that I’m pregnant, I’m so happy but scared at the same time! Anyone else on the same boat??

So jealous!

Seen a few ladies post in here about bhcg blood tests and it's making me jealous! Where in the UK is that a thing you can get?! In my county, you can only get it privately and I dont have the money for that. I know you can get it after recurrent miscarriages but I've only had 2 so they wont do anything.

I'm so scared things arent progressing as they should! Im 4+3.
