When did your pregnancy sickness get better?

I’m almost 8 weeks pregnant with my second, and the sickness this time is horrific. With my first little boy I had zero sickness at all, my pregnancy was a breeze. But this time it’s taken me out, and ofc I wasn’t expecting this as my first was so easy. I am gagging every 10 minutes almost throwing up, I am exhausted and I can hardly do anything, I can hardly eat and drink, I’ve never felt so ill in all my life.
When does this subside, because the mum guilt is eating me alive as I am feeling so unwell I cant do much with my little boy

(Fyi I’ve already had an early scan and there is one healthy baby ❤️)

About 15/16 weeks 🫣

I had to get medication for mine and I wasn't able to stop taking it until 14-15 weeks

Avatar

sorry to say that mine got a little better but never went away and i'm still very ill at 22 weeks. when you're this sick, that's a possibility. everyone told me it should go away by weeks 16-20, then when it didn't, they were like "oh yeah it never goes away for some women" and i felt pretty betrayed that no doctors really had that discussion with me. that said there's still every chance it does go away early second trimester.

either way don't suffer in silence. get your drs to give you medicine and keep trying different meds until you get relief. it's often a battle but you're entitled to it. a charity called Pregnancy Sickness Support can also give you all the guidance you need to advocate for yourself and get medicine.

stay strong ❤️

I answered 12-13 weeks but more realistic answer would be 14-15weeks

I got medication from the doctor at 8 weeks and took it until about 15 weeks. I would not have survived else. I was sick every time I got in a car and by 8 am in the morning I had been sick about 7 times.

I had to get xonvea and another antisickness for mine but I noticed about 11 weeks it had started dying down x

After 14/15 weeks

It will depend if you have hyperemesis or not. If you don’t it should die down after first trimester. Get yourself to GP for anti sickness meds asap.

My first one (girl) I was sick till about week 12-14 ish when it was fully gone. This one (boy) I was sick a lot more and didn’t pass until I was 20-21 weeks. I thought it would never pass at all.

I been feeling nausea 24 hours even was waking up at the midle of the night because of it. It became better/less after 6 or 7 months at pregnancy

Avatar

Sounds like you’re having a girl, my second pregnancy was exactly the same. My sickness lasted all day every day up until 17 weeks x

Avatar

Mine was 16 weeks I’m 18 weeks now but still sick but very occasionally

Avatar

My first pregnancy I was sick the whole way through but the nausea died down a lot after around 16 weeks ish. This pregnancy it improved a lot at around 11/12 weeks & now I am 15 weeks I only occasionally gag and feel a lot better

Avatar

Mine was week 16! I had a little boy, and it only went properly by week 20 when I could eat comfortably again xx

Avatar

By 12 weeks with 3 of my children, and 20+ weeks with my 4th

Avatar

Mine was around 16 weeks too and i was on medication which was changed twice and that helped a lot .
But the foods that triggered or even helped while being sick still makes me nauseous at the thought of it and i dont eat any of that since mid second trimester.
Also had a throw up session last day so guess its just shows up now and then xx

Watch for HG! I had it from 8 weeks until the day she was born!
I threw up multiple times a day and ended up in hospital tons too.
Speak to your doctor if it continues

I stared feeling a little better at 16 weeks or so, then I was sick occasionally, was easily triggered by food and smells, and I felt a little nauseous and very tired the whole pregnancy

Red line on nose

My baby woke up from his first nap of the day with this red vertical line on his nose (and a little bit below it). He is 11 months old.

Any idea what this is? Should I be concerned?

He slept in his cot, which is empty, and I am not aware of him hitting his nose in his sleep.

TIA Xx

Growth scan - concerned 36weeks

My baby has gone from 4lb 2oz to 6lb 15oz, I have been told I have to see a consultant within the next week about this. The babies tummy is measuring big at 94%.

Has anyone else had this? I’m slightly worried due to how big the babies tummy is compared to the rest of the baby.

Early Stages of Labour 😬

I’ve been having contractions on and off since yesterday evening! Feel like im in a limbo phase of seeing how long this could go on for!

Just wondering how long people were contracting before their waters broke or contractions got really painful and close together?

Gifts for kids parties

Following on from a different post I’ve seen on here.

When invited to a child party do you get the birthday person a gift?

Settle this😅

After previous polls it’s been narrowed down to Elsie vs Everly.
Appreciate everyone’s feedback. We were going to use the middle name Kate but decided on Rose to fit other daughter’s floral middle name. And what nicknames would you use for each name? All we could think of was El/ellie or Ev/Evy (short e sound)
