Why do people like to give unsolicited advice about breastfeeding my baby?

My baby is 1 (just turned one a few weeks ago). She’s always been breastfed. When people realise I still breastfeed my baby I always get comments. Just the other day my friend told me that I should probably stop breastfeeding now as I’ve done it for a year and she would have gotten all the benefits from bf already. She said bf is so hard and I will have no freedom if I don’t stop, and then she told me which formula she recommended. Advice which I didn’t ask for. I’m quite happy the way things are going and have no intentions of stopping anytime soon. So why the unsolicited advice?

Sleep!!

Our little girl at 10 weeks just slept from 730pm to 430am. She fell asleep on her dad and in bringing her upstairs at 10pm she was still fast asleep so decided as she was fed just before that to leave her until she stirs. She’s usually a good sleeper on the first stint of the night with atleast 6/7 hours but tonight she’s gone 9! Besides a little leakage as I’m exclusively breastfeeding I have no concerns. Would this one off affect my milk supply? For context when she woke she fed for 10 mins which is average for her and was content/ didn’t seem to be struggling.

Cleaning girls privates

My baby is 3 months old, I noticed she was red in between her lady parts. Which would make sense as to why she didn’t want to be sat and kept straightening up her body ☹️ I cleaned with warm water and sudocream.

Mammas with girls, what’s the best wipes? Or do you just use warm water and a cotton pad? How do I keep her little area red free? Does she need a bigger size nappy also? Any advice welcome!

Sex

Has anyone else not done the deed after giving birth yet?

I am 13 weekspp and feeling guilty for not spending 'quality' time with my partner. He's been very supportive and that it's just I feel so tired at the end of the day I just don't have anything left in me.

We also have a 3 year old and I do the housework and I also exclusively pump so any free time I have gets taken up. My 13 weeks old girl doesn't like being held by anyone else apart from me or my partner so handing them off for a few hours wouldn't work she also contact naps during the day which is fine as she sleeps through the night in her cot. Once they go to sleep I'm in the kitchen washing up bottles and preparing for my last pump of the day and MOTN pump I don't usually end up going to bed until 11:30pm.

Footless pajamas

Why do sleepers become footless at 12 months?! Do they really regulate body better? Are you still putting them in sleep sacks? Using socks? Or giving a blanket? ((Room ranges in the 70s))
