Had enough

Today I'm done. I'm sat here crying because I'm so done.

I run warm normally, even when I'm not carrying around my own personal internal radiator. And the heat today has just pushed me over the edge. I'm sweaty and sticky and uncomfortable. I've got a toddler who thinks climbing all over mummy is the best game ever. Normally that is fine by me but today I don't want to be touched.

Every night I lie in bed and sweat. I can't have a quilt or even a thin sheet over me. I have to use a U shape pillow to get even the slightly but comfortable which traps heat and makes me even hotter.

I feel gross and slimy all day every day and today I'm just done. I don't envy women who have a mid/late summer due date. I would not cope. I'm 35 weeks tomorrow and the next 5 weeks are going to drag if the heat doesn't do one. My little boy came at 39+2 and I'm just praying this one comes a bit earlier.

There is no point to this post. Just somewhere to vent because if I don't vent somewhere my poor husband is going to get his head bitten off for no reason.

I know its more of a vent post (and you have my sympathies, that sounds awful) but for heat at night, putting cold water and crushed ice into a hot water bottle is a dream! You could also buy one of those dog cool mats (a large one), I've stolen my dogs one in summer 🤣

I'm 36 weeks and totally know what you mean! Feeling so uncomfortable right now. Everything hurts. Especially my pelvis and legs. And my toddler also wants to climb on mummy and she elbows my bump to sit herself up etc.
Don't really have any advice as such but wanted to show solidarity šŸ˜‚

Try having a nice cold shower usually that works šŸ™Œ I'm from a hot country and cold showers always works it cools down your body temperature completely, even those times last year when we got to 38° a cold shower really helped specially another one before bed šŸ‘Œ luckily you're nearly due 😁 I love the heat and summer šŸ˜ I hate the cold ā˜ŗļø

Health

Going incognito mostly because I am actually embarrassed šŸ˜‚
I need to start being more active, I used to be so on the go but now I have zero motivation and no energy.
I have type 2 diabetes and I am trying to reverse it before it gets worse, my diet and exercise is horrendous as I just go for quick and easy, I do need to start really prepping food, I have tried calorie counting but end up getting stressed and just giving up and exercise wise I need someone to give me a push and hold me accountable in doing it but my partner is not the best with helping with things like this as he eats like a child and is physically active in work so when he gets home he doesn’t want to work out.
I need help, I was recently told my cholesterol and stuff are high and my diabetes has gone worse since having the baby and having a lot of meds stopped.

What are you looking forward to?

Ladies, what are you looking forward to doing when you don’t have a bump anymore?

Mine is being able to sleep on my stomach! I’ve never been a side sleeper so I can’t say I’ve had a good nights sleep since my second trimester🫠

When is ā€˜too’ early?

29 weeks on Friday and I’m waiting for a scan at 32 weeks on the 30th of April to see if my low lying placenta has moved, if not it’s looking likely I’ll need a C section. But in most cases, placenta will move! However, I’ve just put my first load of baby washing on🫣I couldn’t resist! Is it too early?

Advice!

I was sent for a growth scan as my bump was under the 50th centile…been told she’s on the 23rd now after scan. She’s also ā€œfrank breechā€ has anyone else had a wee one on the smaller side and they have moved? I’ve to get 2 more growth scans and hopefully she’s moved or it will be a section! Another thing I’m dreading 🫣 my first was a svd and I was hoping for the same but I’m so nervous now incase of a c section

C-section regrets…

Has anyone booked in for their C-section but is now feeling like they wanna scrap it & let things happen naturally?

I was on the fence for months and made the decision but now I’m so nervous & wondering if I’m about to make a big mistake as I could end up having a great normal birth and quick recovery but
I’ll never know if I have a section ! šŸ™ˆ

I feel like the more a read or hear about sections it’s making me less confident when it’s meant to make you more!? If you feel similar let me know. What are your thoughts??
