C-section regrets…

Has anyone booked in for their C-section but is now feeling like they wanna scrap it & let things happen naturally?

I was on the fence for months and made the decision but now I’m so nervous & wondering if I’m about to make a big mistake as I could end up having a great normal birth and quick recovery but
I’ll never know if I have a section ! 🙈

I feel like the more a read or hear about sections it’s making me less confident when it’s meant to make you more!? If you feel similar let me know. What are your thoughts??

Im due to have mine on Tuesday, its elective after a traumatic birth with my first. I do have the option to go naturally bit i felt safer booking a section after so many complications.
I got my time/date for my section today 😬 immediately thought i should cancel but i think thats just the nerves of such a major surgery.
I have been told planned sections are very straightforward and generally not too bad healing wise, much better than emergencies.
But the choice is always yours, you can change your mind anytime before the procedure x

Just wanted to share my experience from a positive c section. I had my planned c section on Saturday 4th April and it was honestly the best decision I made. I’m really not good with pain, the unknown, needles etc which is why I felt a planned c section would be less stressful for me and make me feel more in control of what was happening. The recovery is sore but it’s honestly loads better than I actually expected! Not here to tell you what is right or wrong for you but just wanted to reassure you how I’ve been feeling since having it 🖤 I do not have one single regret! If you have any questions that I could help with ask away as well xx

Can’t decide between vbac or section

I am so unbelievably torn between how I want to give birth. I just cant decide, I’m only 26 weeks so I know I’ve got time but I feel like I don’t🙈I’ve written pros and cons for both and it hasn’t helped attal! My first birth was via elective c section through maternal choice and it went well and I healed well. Can anyone shed any light and help me out 😩

I’m crazy.

My husband left his phone in the living room last night so when I got up this morning to make our coffee I was trying to be a lil nosey… I know it’s a huge possibility it’s just a spam thing but like I did not want to see another bitches name on my man’s phone this morning.. 😅

Health

Going incognito mostly because I am actually embarrassed 😂
I need to start being more active, I used to be so on the go but now I have zero motivation and no energy.
I have type 2 diabetes and I am trying to reverse it before it gets worse, my diet and exercise is horrendous as I just go for quick and easy, I do need to start really prepping food, I have tried calorie counting but end up getting stressed and just giving up and exercise wise I need someone to give me a push and hold me accountable in doing it but my partner is not the best with helping with things like this as he eats like a child and is physically active in work so when he gets home he doesn’t want to work out.
I need help, I was recently told my cholesterol and stuff are high and my diabetes has gone worse since having the baby and having a lot of meds stopped.

Did you follow all of the guidelines after having a baby?

If no what did you not follow?

I also get its survivor bias so I’m not saying I was right to do these things.

1. My babies all slept with blanket/comforter from early on. They also all were sleeping through from an early age.

2. I had a bath a couple of days after my c section.

I’m sure there were more but these two are the ones that stand out 🫣

Further scans/labour induction

Hi All, I am 37 weeks and 4days pregnant. I have no signs of labour yet. The last scan was at 34weeks and the midwife suggested that no further scans are required.

My question is - Do I have to reach out to the hospital closer to the date or will they get in touch with me ?

Thanks in advance.
