I have recently heard that chewing gum straight after a section helps with trapped wind. I will be taking some in my bag this time to help. Oh and peppermint tea is also supposed to help.

Peppermint tea can really help. And if you haven't had your first poops yet, start taking lactulose to help with that too!

Peppermint Tea

Peppermint or lemon and ginger tea, pure orange juice helped me naturally as was on so many meds after c section didn’t want to add laxatives too it also this also prevented trapped wind and as much walking as possible within your own capability I found even just standing helped my first c section I had to stay in another night due to severe trapped wind and had to have morphine but they advised all this and have been doing this since day 1 for my second 3 weeks in now and haven’t suffered as of yet 💙

So sorry to hear that , joys of c section 🥲🫶🏼From my experience peppermint or fennel tea, drink lots of warm water and try moving as much as possible and trust me, it will pass ❤️

Peppermint can help (tea gum etc) watch out if you are breastfeeding though it can dip supply for some people 🙂 x (I used warm lemon water to help digestion after my c section along with the lactose)

Any thing peppermint flavour wil help ... I also had gripe water and that helped me xx
