In my notes for my 16 week appointment It says to attend alone, however I want my husband to hear the baby’s heartbeat if they offer, did anyone else attend with partners and find it was okay? Thanks x

My partner came to my appointment☺️ x

I wasn’t told my partner couldn’t come but I went alone as he was working. The basically just went through everything they did at booking appointment and said I wouldn’t get to hear heart beat as they are still little and they sometimes can’t find it well and don’t want to cause panic. They said at next appointment they will hear it x

I had my 16 week appointment a few weeks ago, I went alone, but I’m sure she said I can hear the heartbeat at 28 weeks (I could be wrong) but that appointment was only about 10 minutes long. It could be different where you are though xx

I attended with my partner but I don’t think it states on my notes to attend alone. The midwife didn’t attempt to listen in to the heartbeat and it’s very unlikely that she will. She explained how it’s sometimes very difficult to find with baby still being so tiny and can just cause unnecessary stress to you when it can’t be found. She did say though that at the 25 week appointment she will listen in then.
There was nothing to my 16 week appointment to be honest it was very quick, urine sample, went over blood results, asked me how I was feeling and answered any questions I had.
Hope this helps! Xx

I had mine about a week ago and I got to listen to the baby’s heartbeat. I found that appointment very overwhelming with a lot of information, things that came up on my blood and urine test. I went alone but really wish my partner was there just to help with taking in all information

My partner came to every appointment! When they wanted to speak to me alone they just asked him to wait outside

Based on my last pregnancy two years ago, they don't listen for the heart at 16 weeks. Sometimes at 30 week scan or later. Partners can go to appts but it's usually a pain with work. I'd ask at your scan though x
So according to my dates i am 7 weeks pregnant. I went for a private scan today. The lady said im measuring way too small for 7 weeks and i could be 4 weeks. She said i could have ovulated later but i took lh strips so i know the date i ovulated. She said she cant confirm the viability of the pregnancy and called me back in 2 weeks. Im stressing so much as recently ive noticed symptoms such a nausea and breast tenderness has disappeared. Ive been pregnant before but this time something feels off. I dont wana spend the next 2 weeks second guessing my pregnancy. Anyone been in a similar situation?

Hey all,
I had my 12 week scan yesterday - all good and healthy with the baby. However today I’ve got an appointment letter through for ‘consultant obstetric care’ in 2 weeks time. I’ve had no phone call or note as to what this appointment is for.
Has anyone had anything similar?
I’ve got my 20 week scan through for December and my diabetes test through for January so it’s not linked to those.
Thank you🥰

Had an emergency c section a week ago today which was quite bad as I was 9.5cm dilated and ended up with other complications.
I thought I would be a bit more mobile by now but still feeling so sore especially on one side of my scar. Guess just wanted to understand anyone else’s experiences and recovery process and if there is anything I can do to reduce the scar it looks big and raised at the moment!!
