No tips. I have mine at the end of the month. My doctor told me i don't have to fast but don't over eat and try to avoid sugar or sweets or fruit right before. I don't remember which flavor I got with my first, I think it was Orange and was not bad.

I’m using a birth center with a midwife as my primary provider. She let me drink a medium chick fil a lemonade with light ice. Obviously it tasted amazing but it DID make me a bit nauseous and dizzy as I never have that much sugar at once. Make sure to eat a normal lunch a couple of hours before you’re scheduled to drink whatever you’re drinking (unless they’re having you do a fasting test). Don’t stress over it! I was freaking out and my BGL after the 1hour test was 96 🥳

I really didn’t think it was that bad when I did it with my first. For breakfast I just had a lot of protein and minimal carbs. Think I had like 3 boiled eggs and a few slices of cheese. I had the clear one and it just tasted like flat pop. Bring a straw as it’s easier to chug that way.
I did get slightly nauseous but nausea is my baseline most days lol so I’m not even 100% sure if the test caused it or not.
Overall I think the lead up to the test is scarier than the actual test. ❤️ the worse part for me is the waiting around for an hour killing time haha
