My 1 month old rarely burps after a feed. I've tried different positions but he doesn't burp very often. Then he is upset because he's obviously got trapped wind and struggles to fart it out. If I push his legs up he sometimes definitely feels relief but I can't do that all night long! Any tips for burping or babies with trapped wind please?🙏

Have you tried infalcol drops before feed? It helps bring the gas together so they can burp it up
Feeding the baby in an upright position (if bottle feeding) or holding them upright after a feed can help. The biggest surprise for us after our first was how long it took to burp a baby… the burping took way longer than than actual feeding so do persist with it. We found moving the baby’s body in a circular motion helped with bringing burps up

How often are you trying to burp him? I try burping my little man after two ounces, and if he doesnt burp after s couple of times trying I give him a break and then feed him just a little more and do it again. I am also going to put a couple YouTube links that are pretty helpful as well. Because it would be a little hard for me to explain lol. https://youtu.be/Mje2EC9wTJs?si=PFbKPETepd6ZH506

Hope this helps.

Try Infacol before a feed, I was using it for my little girl since birth, we stopped about a month ago as she burps ok on her own now she’s 3 months old. I also find if I stand up with her facing towards my back and walk around patting her back or jiggling a little bit they come up much better X

Mine does the same. I don’t find any position to work better than another. So to save my arms I put him on my shoulder (chin resting on the shoulder) as my go to. If that doesn’t work, I put him down on his back, let him fuss and then pick him back up, and that change in position works best for me. It’s not fool prove and sometimes it’s just what it is, a terrible time until the air finds its way out one end or the other.

I also second laying them on their back for a few seconds and pick back up, I always find a burp comes out that way too X

Dentinox was a life saver for us x
