I’m a formula feeding mum never tried breast feeding as I know it would over stimulate me. Does any other formula feeding mums feel judged sometimes for not breastfeeding or even trying to breast feeding?

Ive been shouted at for opting to formula feed by my friends mum 😅

You will get judged either way hun, parenting is a “damned if you do and damned if you don’t”. My son lost 12% of his birth weight while I was BF and he took 3w to get back to birth weight, nurses trying to force formula on me so baby can gain weight, I had faith my body could do it. Then I had my mum on my back banging on about “put the baby on formula go back to work and leave baby w MIL!” Since I was 3m pp. I Bf for 3 years in the end. So I just wanted to say, do what you feel is best. We get judged either way 💁🏻♀️

I was told by my nutritionist I was stupid for not breast feeding my daughter. But from day 1 my milk never came in and I was never able to breastfeed. 3 days after getting out the hospital I ended back in the hospital bc of swollen and bruised veins. So I was put on steroids and couldn't breastfeed anyways.

Most people just reassure me that I’m doing my best. I don’t think discussions about how breastfeeding is better count as judging and I haven’t felt personally judged for needing to use formula.

I know this post isn't for me, but I 100% understand what you mean by overstimulating. I always will support Mums who choose not to breastfeed, because breastfeeding has shown me how overstimulating it can be, how demanding, how draining it can be as well. I just wanted to pop in and say ignore the hateful Karen's that ever try and tell you that you are wrong for not doing it. I'm not even sure if I am going to with this 2nd baby tbh

I feel super judged but I couldn't safely breastfeed due to all the medication from almost dying during birth. I had to pump and dump which was impacting my physical recovery. My supply never came in. Plus he has CMPA and needed hypoallergenic formula
