Baby position

When my stomach tightens I can really feel the shape of the baby which is almost like a V. Two hard long lumps and a soft bit in the middle, I have no idea what position she’s in! Anyone got any ideas?

I feel that sometimes too. I'm on growth scans so know she's got long legs and can feel her bum on one side and her feet on the other when she's stretches out then her heads down in my pelvis.

Midwife told me at my 31 week appointment she thought he was head down. I can feel random bits poking out but not clear which limbs it is always! 😂 hard to tell!

I was confused too, I know my baby is head down and on my right side because I feel his kicks in my ribs. Midwife confirmed this. But I asked about movements and pushes near my belly button and he is punching me too 😂 we have 2 hands and 2 feet wriggling around and I think that’s why it’s hard to tell!

Ultrasound photos 🥲

Was hoping for that cute strip of baby photos to use for my shoot that I see everyone have.. instead my tech (who was a guy) gave me one of my baby and two leg photos……. WHYYYY

And I didn’t notice till after cause I was already cleaning up when he handed it to me.. I thought it was just standard practice and that I wouldn’t have to SPECIFY. And it sucks cause there were so many moments he showed me of my baby like sucking its thumb and stuff. So dissappointed.

Tubes tied during C-section.

So I went for my appointment today with the consultant to consent for my elective C-section.
He offered to sterilise me at the same time which caught me off guard as I never even thought of it 🤣

I mean it would be nice to not have to take contraception for the next 15/20 years but I’m a bit skeptical.

Has anyone had this done during their C-section and if so, how did you find the actual procedure and also the aftermath?

Thanks :)

When can you go back on contraception after birth?

I’m a week postpartum with my 2nd baby and I’m wanting to go back on the implant just so I know I’ve sorted it and around my area there can be a waiting list for a nurse to come into my GP to do it and I’m worried if I wait til the 6 week checkup to be put on the implant that I’d have to wait longer.

If I was to go on the implant/contraception before 6 weeks, would that be a good idea?

How long till bleeding stop

How long was it till everyone stopped bleeding after c section? I’m 18 days since having my c section and I’m still bleeding. It’s off and on again, I go a few days without bleeding then it comes back as a light period, it’s normally a brown colour with a bit of red in it. Anyone else experienced this?

C-section booked for my birthday!

I had an appointment this afternoon to book in my c-section, and the only date available is my birthday! They’re fully booked several days before and after.

On one hand, it could be a nice distraction as I’m really nervous about the surgery, I’d have something to talk/laugh about with the theatre staff. Tea and toast post birth could be tea and birthday cake! But I feel a great deal of sadness that my child won’t have a special day of their own.

This sort of thing can’t be helped with spontaneous labour, but it’s a shame it’s likely to be the outcome of my planned c-section! 😕
