Wake windows a myth for some?

My baby seems to laugh in the face of wake windows. We wake around 6-7am, he might fall asleep after his breakfast feed for a little bit but his only other long nap is our lunchtime walk in the carrier. Otherwise he is awake for hours on end but seemingly quite happy.

If anyone has a newborn who also doesn’t conform to the whole 60m rule, don’t worry, your baby isn’t broken and you’re not doing anything wrong, just go with their flow!

Pff yes. My 3 week old will stay awake for 3 hours at times 😭

I’m the complete opposite, my LO doesn’t stay awake for longer than 10 minutes unless she’s feeding 😅

I think as long as he’s happy, but I do find wake windows useful to have more predictable day time naps and longer sleep at night. I was out the house yesterday and my husband thought keeping our 12wk son awake for 3hrs would make him sleep better - he didn’t sleep all night x

My 4 week old doesn’t fit the normal wake windows. She was basically awake most of yesterday daytime with short naps a couple of times in the day. Then slept 5 hours, had a feed, then slept another 4 hours over night. Cannot get her to nap every 60-90 mins like suggested 🤷🏻‍♀️ but she seems happy and content so I’m going with it!

Same thing here and even when he shows sleepy cues I’ll try to rock him / settle him and he won’t always have a sleep

2 weeks old and I have the nosiest & most alert son known to man 🤣 I’ve just accepted he likes to be awake well past his “wake window”
