Am I exaggerating?

DH doesn’t help cooking/cleaning/laundry. I’ve tried asking for more support at home, it hasn’t worked. At this point he’s just a paycheck and he can mail it. I’m so over this relationship.

Would getting a cleaner once a week help? If so, try and do that

I recommend looking into Abby Eckel and Paige Connell’s content on social media.

They both address this issue with different approaches. One is ways to have conversations around sharing the load to help your husband understand, and practical examples/solutions (Paige), and the other is essentially giving up on your husband (but with the inability to leave) and centering yourself for your own happiness and peace of mind (Abby).

You also work and ft at that and do everything ?? Yeah ...nah. use that pay check to organise yourself if you wanna leave.
If you weren't working I'd have said just focus on you and kids and keep peace till you can reorganise later. But ...

tbh i also cant trust hubby with doing laundry

If you have talked to him about this and he still won’t help, I’d leave

I do mine and my son's laundry, he does his own!

It’s so frustrating when we have to ask them to “help” around the house. The way I see it, they also live there, they dirty dishes, they use the bathroom and so on. So they shouldn’t be “helping” clean their own house. They should just do it. I was in the same boat, so since he didn’t listen, I decided I wasn’t going to do his laundry or pick up his stuff anymore. As I too have a job and do 99% of the kids responsibilities. Men just want to work, come home, eat and relax. We want to do the same, but we know we can’t. And if you have already spoken to him and he doesn’t change, I’d say talk to someone, like a counselor. And if that doesn’t work, then choose peace and walk away. So fed up with this 90/10 relationships.

Teething?

Hi, is it possible my 11 week old is teething? His cheeks are often quite red, nappies are wetter and he’s now sucking both his hands quite vigorously even though he’s just been fed.

Very confused

My child's nursery has asked me to refill the funding form. Last one was mislaid.
Online it keeps telling me I am NOT illegible for any form of childcare funding, is this correct?
They're 3 and do 12 hours a week (under the free 15 hour funding)
The TYF881-******* code doesn't apply anymore as my child is 3? Do I need any sort of code?
Do I just fill out my form with details and no code is needed, genuinely I am SO confused

Prepping for blackout

I don’t watch the news but my social media is full of people preparing for a blackout. Stocking cupboards and getting emergency essentials.
Who is actually doing this?
My husband said it’s crap and nothing will happen but a part of me thinks what if it does and we have nothing?
We have 2 kids and I would hate if it actually did happen and we had nothing and the shops were empty :(

Potty training

Has anyone else NOT started potty training yet? I feel so much pressure seeing other kids the same age being potty trained but I know my little boy isn’t ready. He used to go and sit on the toilet and doesn’t even do that now. He sometimes tells us when he has pooed but not always. I am off on maternity until May and he doesn’t start pre school till next September so I know there’s loads of time. It’s just hard not comparing

Am I the problem?

Anyone realizing that you’re the problem in your relationship? We have a 6 month old, and since I was pregnant I questioned if I really loved my partner and truly wanted to be with him. He isn’t financially stable, not as healthy as I’d prefer, and I think he’s moody and stubborn. But he has no friends so he stays home and works on his dream which I admire.
Anyways I have caused a lot of drama in our relationship because I think I take out my anger on him.
I feel like I wanna cheat, be with other guys, be single, co-parent…
I even complain to myself about how he isn’t that attractive and I deserve a more attractive man and a rich man lol.
I’m like, am I lowkey a narcissist and selfish and mean!?
Anyone else feel like this… what do you do
