Weaning- help

I’m really hoping someone feels the same as me, I had all intentions my whole pregnancy of doing BLW, I gave it a go but got SO anxious but went back onto purées & more recently just mashed & a bit chunkier. (7 months old)

But I feel like I’m holding him back? I see other baby’s gnawing on a stick of cucumber etc and I want to do that too but I don’t get how they won’t break a chunk off and choke?

I just don’t understand how they don’t choke when they break chunks off when BLW? Please someone help as I would love to start but my anxiety is hold on me back x

I’ve done BLW for my September son and I also did it for my 2023 daughter. Completely understand the anxiety aspect as it can be really scary. What helped me was following lots of instagram/tiktok accounts that do BLW recipes. I also highly recommend a book called “how to wean your baby”. It has great information and recipes in it and a guide of what to introduce and how to prepare the food. If it makes you feel better in anyway my son has had cucumber quite a few times now and when the skin breaks off in his mouth he usually spits most of it out
