Hi, i’m nearly 27 weeks with a typically very active baby boy. Last 24 hours his movements have been significantly lower and hadn’t felt anything yesterday afternoon, evening or into the morning today. I had a routine midwife appointment and she sent me to triage for monitoring, the kept me on machine for just over an hour and said baby’s heartbeat is looking good but movements are still low. Has anyone else had any similar experience? Still feeling quite anxious about it all xo

Yes went myself this morning. You did the right thing getting checked. If you still don't feel right call them again and get some advice. Midwife told me this morning to expect clear patterns from 28 weeks if that helps xx

I just turned 28 weeks and this is my second pregnancy, my first was barely ever active, but this one is on the move 24/7 so when she stops I panic but I have found that the more active or stressed I am the less she moves, as you get further on they do say movements will start to reduce because they’re getting bigger, but my girl now moves constantly if i’m sat or led down or if i’m super calm, otherwise she barely moves. You will notice a pattern at some point of when your baby moves the most and least, and if you are ever concerned always get checked out, don’t ever feel like you’re being dramatic, you’re the only person who can advocate for how you feel so always err on the side of caution

Hey! This came up on my fyp, but my little girl is 6 months old 🤣
If you’re still anxious or concerned, go back to triage. They would much rather you continued going in for reduced movements than sitting at home worrying (especially if something is wrong with baby, which is very unlikely so please don’t panic more). Their procedure is that if you go in for reduced movements multiple times over a short period of time, they often scan you so they should be able to give you more reassurance.
I don’t want to scare you, because it’s very very likely your baby is okay and is just in a funky position, but I had reduced movements at 38 weeks. The monitors kept saying that my daughter’s heart rate looked good. It wasn’t until the consultant looked at the tracings carefully that they noticed dips in her heart rate that they realised something was wrong and I had an emergency c-section to find her cord was wrapped around her leg 3 times xx

If you're still concerned about your movements then please contact your local triage department to go back in😊 xx

Hey this exact thing happened to me on the weekend - also 27 weeks - went to triage and had ctg monitoring, they repeated and was fine but asked me to have another check 6 hours later, still didn't have many movements. I had a growth scan the following day and all looked good baby had just moved head down instead so movements felt different. The pattern of movements has changed times of day but everything else was fine just changed position and everything has been fine since xx
