I need to potty train my little girl. She is happy to sit on the toilet and does it for fun sometimes so planning to skip the actual potty and go straight to toilet. She had done a wee in the toilet on three occasions. She tells me when she is doing a wee or a poo and I think she is ready but I haven’t trained her yet because I’ve had a second baby 9 weeks ago. Now that she has adjusted to her baby brother I think I’m going to give it to go but I have no clue where to start and how to go about it.
Can anyone share the methods they used and any tips or tricks?

I would suggest doing it over the timescale of maybe a week where you don’t leave the house, and I know you said about using the toilet but for us when I potty trained my daughter, it was super handy to use a potty for ease when we were in different rooms etc
I would also highly suggest if you haven’t already investing in a carry potty for when you go out and about, it has been a life saver many a time!🤣
I started off having her bottom half naked for a day or two so she got the feeling and gradually added knickers for a morning or an afternoon and progressed to a full day. (Just what worked for us!) I found she got so tired during potty training because it’s a lot mentally to take on for them, so I didn’t push it too much. She ended up being dry during the day after a week x

Following ☺️

We loosely followed oh crap. A few days (more like 5 or 6 in the end!!) of bottomless (no pants or leggings), then introduced leggings for going out, after a week or so of success with leggings we introduced pants. We faced a lot of resistance in the beginning and when we went out the house and took the pressure off thats when it clicked. We do a lot of this then that communication now, go for a wee and we can have a snack...its a real balance between prompting and letting them be independent with it for us.
