I am so fed up, my daughter will eat all sorts of meals at nursery but when I cook similar at home she doesn’t touch it. Right now she’s living off pasta and fruit or snacky bits but she won’t eat meat (only mince in spag Bol and sausages) or veg and I feel like a failure.
Does anyone have any advice?

I recommend buying dinner winner :) It usually helps littles, who are picky eaters.
You can even put a snack reward at the end of the plate since there’s a treasure chest

Could it be the setting? Maybe too distracting? Or a certain seasoning she's not feeling maybe

Could she perhaps be too full when she gets home? Does she eat NOTHING? Or only a small bit?

We're going through this for the second time and I totally get how frustrating it is - my little one will only eat snacks, pasta and yoghurt at home, but eats almost everything at nursery. When I told them this, they thought it was because he sees the others eating, so follows suit. It is just a phase, but it is really hard when you're going through it, but I promise you're not a failure! I hope its short lived and she finds her appetite soon 🩷

In the very same boat my daughter eats EVERYTHING at nursery (minus veg) she’s never taken to any type of veg. But at home she will eat but only certain foods, like cheese pasta, unlimited fruit, yogurt and that’s about it. Today I made her chicken rice, she didn’t touch it. Been like this for over 6 months now. She was such a good eater before she turned 2 (minus veg) but she’s stuck on pasta right now. There’s only so much pasta one can have. Bur I don’t want her to starve either so I always cave in. It’s tough. Hoping it’s a phase they overcome?

Mine is the same and always has been, he eats everything at nursery and is so fussy at home! Nursery say it’s quite normal, the positive peer pressure from other children at nursery encourages them to be more adventurous.

mentioned this to nursery befire they said they hear it off almost every parent, monkey see monkey do and all of that , helps when they see other kids eating i notice if my friends kids come round on a play date mine eats his food as he can see his friend eating the same, all i can advise is consistency and keep giving foods you know they wont eat amongst food they do until they eat it then move to the next, ive got him eating broccoli and avocados etc like that , just keep exposing them to it , also toddler eating vids on youtube help occasionally at meal times lowkey lol coming from a no tv while eating mom
My very almost 2 year old has started acting quite emotional when his bum is being changed. He used to hate getting his nappy changed anyway, however he’s been really good the last 2 months at getting his own nappy, laying down etc but then when it comes to actually wiping his bum/privates…he gets REALLY upset and cries/forces his legs shut so I can’t clean up properly. I’ve had a look as best as he’d let me and there’s no redness or any cuts etc.
Is this normal? I have to hold both his legs open and basically fight him to get to the areas I need to get to. I try not to make it harder than it is for him so I am careful and try my best to comfort him while it’s happening. But what the heck is this all about? I was worried someone had hurt him but he’s never not with me so it’s impossible. I just don’t know where it’s coming from and why it’s so upsetting for him. Apart from this he is a great child who barely ever cries (unless he doesn’t get his way lol) but he can have a fall/cut and will be smiling and laughing.
When he’s in the bath and I wash his area (with water & not hard at all just a little wipe, nothing that will hurt) he also doesn’t seem comfortable with that either and tries to run away, he doesn’t get as upset it’s more of a game to him and sometimes laughs. It’s all very confusing. My partner says it’s a sensitive area anyway and while he’s young it might just be extra sensitive to touch. Any boys mums who can help? 🥲

😅 i feel like i dont see any 16 year old girls anymore trying to make little extra cash or just moms helping other moms out.
Just me who'd be happy to help a mom out just so she can have her 3 hours to go peacefully grocery shopping or have a break. Its tough to be a mommy. And at the same recover after birth and needing that sleep.
Just me who has to choose between a shower, eating, sleeping or having a quick clean? What's your experience like ? 🥰

How many times a day are you trying solids? My pediatrician said to do 3 times a day. I thought at 6m once a day was more than enough??

I'm really annoyed with nursery. They have lost our apron and kept brushing us off for 2 weeks and saying we have to speak to someone else. Or they simply say they don't know they weren't there to most things I ask. My little one has also started to really cry at drop off at beginning of week. This has been ongoing 3 weeks. Her key worker has changed to someone who is not in the same days she is, so 2/3 days. They also lost one of our bottles last week. About 3 weeks ago my little one has tights on. I hadn't realised the elastic had gone on them so they kept falling down. We went for a walk after pick up and every 30 seconds I saw she was struggling to move around and the tights were bothering her. When I went to pull them up there was no nappy or knickers on her! Her little bum was out. I was so mad at them. When I asked them about it they said they don't know. But I'm disappointed as they took off her nappy in morning and didn't put her pants on. So she must have gone the whole day that way and nobody noticed?! Then last week as we were leaving I saw her cardigan lying on the side and when I picked it up it had paint all over it. They don't use water based paint and it never comes out! When I showed the room leader he said he doesn't understand as my little one didn't paint today. As if that's an explanation. My little one later told me she did it. So they have left the paint out and let kids go to it unattended then.
I'm just really really frustrated about it all.
Are these all small things?
Is everyone having these problems and it's just how it is?

Hi mamas! Please can you tell me what your 10 month olds are playing with at the moment? My son will be going 10 months at Christmas and it's hard for me to imagine what kind of toys he'll be ready for, even though I've been here before 😂 Tysm 🫶
