Does anyone have any tips on how to wean a stubborn almost two year old off of breastfeeding. He can’t self soothe and uses me as a pacifier

It's quite normal for a 2 year old not to be able to self sooth. They still need a safe person to co-regulate with. You can introduce new comforts like teddies, cuddles etc. I did the don't ask, don't refuse method with my little one. If he really needed a breastfeed he could but initially I would offer a snack for distraction instead. We implemented some boundaries around that age too about when we are out we focus on food and water, if he still needed mommy's milk at home then we could. I never offered it though, eventually the world became more interesting for him and the food options so vast he stopped himself. It also helps if someone else does bedtime and makes new bedtime comforts like reading a book, having a relaxing massage, a soak in the bath before bed. Eventually my little one swapped the bedtime feed with a cuddle to get back to sleep

I’ve been feeling so down. I don’t really have anyone to talk to about certain stuff but I’ve just been feeling so depressed lately. Idk what it is. I don’t even want to brush my hair or teeth. None of my pre pregnancy clothes fit I’m almost 5 months postpartum. I’m the biggest I’ve ever been in my whole life 😭 I feel like my bd ruined my life. Not because I have his baby. But because he completely changed after I got pregnant and was cheating on me my whole pregnancy. He put me in a fucked up situation and I can’t get past it. Is it normal to get ppd months later? I haven’t felt this way until just recently. 🫠 I’m just so drained I have no energy to cook or clean. I only shower because me and my baby shower together or I would probably shower every couple of days. 😪 I don’t even feel pretty or recognize myself when I look in the mirror…

My sons doctor said we can use melatonin, is she right?

Last time I questioned about melatonin and a lot of mommies said no to it. My son doesnt have a legit sleep schedule yet. Its hectic. I cant stay up until 430am anymore. I give him melatonin and hes out 30 min after I give it to him for the rest of the night. He also likes taking late nights because hes in school from 1 to 4...what would you suggest?

Breast Pump - Recommendations

Hi all! As a first time mama to be, what do you all recommend for the best breast bump? I know insurance covers this so was hoping to get an idea of what brands are best!

Night-time nappies

My little boy is 8 weeks old. We're using Tesco's
/Aldi nappies during the day. But they just aren't lasting during the night. What nappies is everyone using for nightime?

To tell or not to tell?

My MIL oversteps boundaries, disrespects our parenting decisions and belittles me as a mother in various ways. The first time she did this was when we brought my baby home from hospital and she stayed with us, the second time was recently.
She lives in another country so we only see her once or twice a year. Is it worth telling my husband how I feel or just leave it as he obviously loves her so always excuses her behaviour as 'trying to help' and I don't want to make him sad :/
