Self referral - Badger Notes

This can be really normal depending on how busy they are. With my first baby I waited 3 or 4 weeks for an appointment/ to hear back with my second they told me the same day x

i filled a form online, but i this it also depends on your local hospital. in any case they won't bother contact you until your 11th week as for my experience

I'm in Northumberland and after waiting two weeks, I contact the head matron through PALS who sorted an appointment within 24 hours for me

I think it depends. So I did a self referral to Harrogate and heard nothing, was just before Christmas (22nd) but 2nd week of Jan still nothing. But people still have babies over the holidays surely? Did one for Leeds and I got a response the next day and an appointment the week afterwards. As soon as we got back from the appointment there was a letter from Harrogate saying you have an appointment Friday, they got my name wrong, no one answered the phones for me to cancel until 50 mins before the Friday appointment. They even advised me to contact a Facebook group as no one answered phones...

It depends on the hospital/trust (MK) I had to do a self referral for this baby (second) and they didn’t contact me till near the time my booking appointment was due, and the they set me up with Badger notes etc. I was very anxious also as with my first I just called my GP and they done everything from there on out, but it’s very different this time round. I had to swap trusts due to my ex-partner being abusive, and the process started again, but because I was a little further along and in a different trust/area everything was much quicker (Northants)

So I’m in Nottingham and it’s just so confusing. The email I received after submitting the referral said up to 10 working days.

I like to be organised and know exactly what is happening, I’m coming up to 6 weeks pregnant and it’s stressing me out not knowing if they’ve even looked at the referral yet or not.

Nottingham here too, although I had a miscarriage in Jan, I enrolled before Christmas & my first appointment (10 weeks I think) came through in the new year. I didn’t hear anything between enrolling & getting the notification. It’s hard isn’t it but I think it’ll be a couple more weeks. Congratulations! X
