I’m going to resign before my maternity starts- do I get any help/benefits?

No I can’t call in sick it will be a straight resign as I can’t deal with another second of that company.
Any info on what I can be entitled to?
Also I will be getting a job around 9 months in after baby

You can apply for universal credit as long as your partner isn’t high earning or you have savings over 16k x

Why not just stay ‘employed’ whilst on maternity leave, at least then they will sort all mat pay etc.

Agree either stay in employment till your maternity leave finishish and tell them you won't be going back or if you are in the UK you can get maternity allowance off the government which is basically what you maternity leave is it just comes directly from the government rather than you employer

Making friends is so hard

I’m 25, and feel like I have no friends! I had a crappy time so had to leave college early so school friends kind of just drifted, I have a best friend moving away and I don’t have the means to visit her. I lost all my work friends during covid, since having babies and being the only one of my used to be friends I feel so isolated and just lonely. I truthfully don’t know how to make friends 😩

My baby daddy left when I was 7 months pregnant. Well I kicked him out due to the fact that I was working doing 30 hrs and he had no job he wasn’t trying. I was getting so upset bc he didn’t even care. I loved him but he started to date this girl who messaged me and told me that I wasn’t pregnant and just fat and it wasn’t his baby. Ever since he started dating her I felt anger are my feelings valid? My baby’s 6 months and he’s only seen him 5 or 4 times.
