Depression + pregnancy

Hello moms.
I'm just here wondering how bad is for my baby (24weeks) is if I'm depressed.
I'm not taking medication because I worry about the medication affecting the baby at the same time, and it seems like having the depression itself is also harmful .
Is there anyone with some experience?
I just really don't know what to do 😩
Sometimes, the medication is also not 100% sure that it is gonna work for me.

Thanks 🩷

Going through the same , i have low mood days, 26 weeks pregnant today. I find when its at its peak talk therapy with free places that offer help immediately has done me well. Also journaling and just getting fresh air, a full at home pamper and exfoliating day. Small things, ive gotten back into reading novels. Hope that helps šŸ¤

You need to weigh the pros and cons. How bad is the depression? Only you can tell. Will it get worse without treatment that you could get to a point where there is risk to yourself or risk to your baby. Is there historical risk? All important questions that you should probably be discussing with your doctor instead of here to be honest. Discuss side effects and impact on pregnancy. There are useful leaflets out there that they should provide you with so you can make an informed decision.

Why do people have such audacity?!

On vacation with my husband & our youngest baby (10 months). We’re walking down the street & this older lady sees my baby walking & asks how old she was & I answer. Then she says look at that hair & touches her head then immediately pats me on the back & says congratulations. While I’m sure there was good intent, why do random people feel entitled to touching a strangers baby?! It happened so quickly I didn’t even get a chance to react before realizing what had transpired. Would this peeve you?

Baby sleeping in next to me

My baby is 12 weeks old and we mostly cosleep. When we Co sleep he wakes 2 times in the night (bed 11pm - first wake 4am - second wake 6:30am), but when I put him to sleep in the next to me crib he wakes up every 45mins. He is breastfed. Any advice on helping him sleep longer stretches in the crib please.

Do you think if I just completely stop cosleeping he’ll eventually sleep longer in the next to me ?

3 year old keeps touching our hips

Our 3 year old (boy) keeps touching and pinching my husbands and my hip. We keep telling him no but he doesn’t listen and it probably happens at least 10x daily. I can’t find anything about it on dr. Google - does anyone else deal with this and what to do?

Night wakes

Please helpšŸ˜” my 8 mo has always been a good sleeper, with maybe one wake up through the night but a quick soothe or dummy would send her back to sleep.

At the moment she is waking up shortly after putting her down screaming, I calm her down and get her back to sleep or she will self soothe. She’s then waking again every night for 2-3 hours straight between 1 and 5am and I do not know what to do. I’ve tried everything, cuddles, getting in her cot with her, calpol & ibruprofen (she’s teething), chilled teething rings, Ashtons teething powder, gels everything.

She wakes up screaming, I’ll soothe her but then she just screams bloody murder if I walk out her room so I’m literally sitting in her room with her during the night and I’m exhausted.

I really don’t want to co sleep because I don’t want her to get used to being back in our room then having more issues down the line with her not settling in her room because she’s done so well adapting to being in there

Anyone have any tips or tricks to get them back to sleep? She’s literally wide awake, I’ll try anything at this point, it’s really upsetting me how sad she is during the nightšŸ˜”

First 24hrs of breast feeding

I will be going to the midwife today. Please can someone else describe their fist 24hrs breast feeding please so I can get a general idea or if it’s just the way I’m doing it what’s causing it to be soo painful.
Have been using stored colostrum overnight
