Is this me and our relationship has gone south or is tgjs a common thing !
Honestly feel like I hate my husband , we never really argued and now I feel like we always do , I’m fed up of it & don’t want to feel like this any more 🙈

Id agree. 6 months in i love him again...most of the time 😂

7m pp with our second. We argue every night I would say. With our first we were in love with each other even more. I go to bed when I put baby to bed and have a cry nearly every other night. So done with it. But also love him and our little family.

8 months pp and we’ve definitely taken a hit this last month! I think sleep deprivation has really taken its toll. I think you just have to remind yourself this is a season and also parenthood really holds a mirror up to you and reflects your flaws/ weaknesses as a couple - it’s an opportunity to work on those (once your baby sleeps!!)

With our first I felt resentful and distant but definitely not hateful, it got better though and with our second I didn’t feel like that at all! Honestly it’s normal and usually hormonal but it does get back to normal (for most people anyway!) x

Early postpartum is not an easy season. 😮💨 I love my husband so much, he’s my best friend, and very supportive, but I also experienced so many instances of intense rage and anxiety that I’m just starting to get over 7 months in. I feel like nothing fully prepares you for how all consuming mothering will be and how much it demands of you as the primary caregiver. And all that on top of recovering from giving birth. And discovering the many ways that the world refuses to accommodate for your new needs and rhythms.. It’s a lot for our bodies and minds to come to terms with.

18 months in and I feel like I can tolerate him sometimes. But I’m also way more angry and resentful than I used to be which is challenging. I truly attribute it to the mental load, being a full time WFH mom, and my husband just generally having no awareness of how hard I have to work every day to feel like I’m just treading water. We’ve been together for 11 years and we know each other well, but this season changes things!
I did give up complaining for lent this year and my attitude changed for awhile- when you’re not giving yourself permission to complain, you stop focus on the bad things. Once I’m in a resentment cycle it’s really hard to break out of it.

Is it just in general or are there triggers? Is there an underlying reason? If it is something that can be addressed addressed it if not it might just be perception issue or mom brain
I had to message my mother in law to please stop kissing my baby on the face…she messaged today for the first time since that conversation. I explained that we cannot meet up today as I’m sick (the cold that the in-laws gave us !!)…so she said “ok give baby a big kiss and cuddle from me”. Anyone else feel like that sounds really cheeky? Or am I taking it the wrong way😆basically just went in 1 ear & out the other.

I am 3 weeks emergency c section with our second baby (2 years). My partner got a new work phone a few weeks ago and he was sitting on it whilst at the dinner table. I asked him if I could have a look at it and I picked it up. He snatched it out of my hand and tried to hide it from me. He then refused to let me look at it and runs upstairs. He came back down stairs and explained that he didn’t want me to see a work email about a new job before he had a chance to talk to me about this.
I cannot understand the need to snatch, hide a phone and then leave the room over a work email.
I am feeling very angry with him and have refused to go to his family meal tonight and play happy families.
He is annoyed with me and is blaming me for ruining our evening and cancelling on his family.
I don’t want to believe he is hiding things from me but his reaction makes me think he is cheating/looking at things I wouldn’t approve of.
For reference, he has the passcode to my phone and goes on my phone all the time.

Just reached 37 weeks today. Husband wants to go visit his parents because he won’t see them for a while (they’re not visiting and we are only going to see them in feb). He thinks it’s doable. I’m very hurt and don’t feel prioritized. What to say

For UK mums, when did you start weaning your baby onto solids and how did you know they were ready? What first foods did you try and do you have any tips for getting started? I'd love to hear about your approaches and any advice for handling nerves about choking or reactions.

Has anyone in your life told you that as a mother or even a stay at home mother that you don’t do anything??? I have bipolar type 1 and adhd and my son has autism. So I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not perfect that maybe I am a type c mom. But I know for damn sure that I don’t do anything is not true. My partner and I got into an argument and I can’t get over how he said I don’t do anything. Mind you he works night shift so he sleeps during the day. I can go down the list of everything I be doing but I know most people on this app know the truth!!!
So I’m at the point right now where I’m so hurt and angry that I am not going to do anything so he could see how this house looks when “I don’t do anything” I have checked out. I know this might be wrong so I’m asking y’all has this happened to you and what did you do? How did you feel? What should I do? I’m honestly just hurt and feel unappreciated……..

I feel like I can’t breathe. Financial stability is so important. Since June we have been struggling bc realistically we can only afford our rent and bills, but since we have been waiting for the states benefits to renew, we’ve been struggling to stay afloat because we’ve had to buy food. I’m at that point where I’ve been going to the food bank once a month and the distribution centers every week. I’m grateful we still have WIC benefits. I feel like I’m drowning financially. My daughters birthday is coming up and I’m worried she isn’t going to be happy because I don’t have the money to buy her gifts.
We have what we need.
A place to call home. A vehicle that takes us from A to B.
Food. Electricity. Water. Entertainment! That’s a big one. Personally I want to cancel all streaming services and cut the internet bc that’s such a luxury to me.
It’s gonna be okay. I just think we’re conditioned to want more. Have more. More toys, more clothes, more food, more CONVENIENCE.
We have enough. I may not be able to give her a million presents, but I can give her my time, my love, my guidance. I can BE present with her and hopefully that’s enough for her. Hopefully she feels like the luckiest little girl in the world even though I can’t shower her with gifts.
This is only temporary. In a few years, her little brother will be going to school and I can go back to work/school. I can provide more.
For now, we learn how to be okay with less.
