Can/do you shower when home alone with your 14 month old?

If you are able to how do you do this? Do you shut them in the room with you?

Yes I always shower in the evening when she’s sleeping as it’s easier. X

I shut her in the bedroom connected to my en-suite. I then put Ms Rachel on our bedroom tv and put her in her walker. This used to be enough however now she’s older, it’s not. I’ve worked out she takes a good 10 minutes to eat a whole rusk so I give her one then run 😂🤣 I wedge the bathroom door open and then use the bedroom long mirror reflection to see her and make sure she is safe and doesn’t choke on her rusk. It’s a whole process but it does work 🤣🫣 drying hair though.. that’s just a no, I do that when she’s in bed but she’s on a completely different floor so it doesn’t wake her up.

I shut him in the bathroom with me with some toys, he usually just stands at the edge of the bath and throws things in so has to be waterproof bits!

Holiday with nearly 2 year old!

We are going on holiday in June. My daughter turns 2 in July! We are going to Gran Canaria, all inclusive, but I have a few questions - nappies what is everyone doing about these? Am I packing them or buying them at duty free? Milk - she has milk in the morning and before bed? What am I doing about this? It’s whole milk, but I have no idea how this one will work? Did you stick to routines or just go with the flow, both my husband and I work so we will need to return once the fun is over… Any other tips. The more I think about it the more daunting I’m finding the prospect even tho I am really excited.

Car seats

I’m so sorry if this is a stupid question but I’ve just found out I’m pregnant with my 3rd baby. What happens with car seats in the back of the car? My other two are still in car seats they are nearly 4 & 2? Where will the new born car seat go? Am I being stupid?🤦🏽‍♀️😂😂😂

Advice needed

I keep waking up feeling like a bad mum!
My boy is 13 weeks old, for the last few nights he’s started stirring so I’ve popped his dummy in and he’s gone to sleep. This has resulted in me feeding him at about 4/5am after his last feed at 9/9.30pm. After that feed he won’t wake up fully (just stir and I pop dummy in until about 9/9.30am) I’m not questioning whether if I’m starving him through the night! Should I give him the dummy when he stirs or should I be offering him a feed?
Would he settle with a dummy and go back to sleep if he was actually hungry? As I know through the day when he’s hungry nothing settles him other than the feed so sometimes I have to feed him earlier than the 3 hours he usually goes.
Through the day he’s having about 6 feeds and he’ll take 160ml-170ml each feed. Is this enough to sustain such long gaps through the night? He appears to be gaining weight well , hes fit in 3-6months since bang on 12 weeks and he’s a very happy baby when he’s awake.

Visitors of newborn.

I’m feeling a bit anxious about having visitors after I get home from having my baby. I know a baby’s immune system is immature for the first 2 months of life and don’t want her to get any germs.

I am worried about family members turning up and not telling me their poorly like got a cough or viral thing. My question is has anyone ever visited your home and been poorly?

Can your baby self soothe to sleep?

If so, how did they learn? How did you support them?
