I made a no added sugar cake for my first (the cake layers were basically banana bread, the icing was whipped cream and it was decorated with strawberries) and will probably make something similar for my second. We're not planning anything big, so might end up being a cupcake rather than a proper cake 😅

Same as Paulina but I'll swap the strawberries with blueberries because my LO is obsessed 😂
do you have recipes i could steal pls

I haven't tried this recipe yet but I've loved everything I've cooked from this book so far and most important my LO too 😊

I don't, sorry, I basically freestyled it and hoped for the best. But if I was making it again, I'd do it like this: a few overripe bananas, a few eggs, flour, a dash of baking soda, maybe some greek yoghurt. Bake in a round tin. Once cooled slice horizontally (cutting with a piece of string is a neat trick). Whip double cream. Layer everything like this: bottom cake layer, some whipped cream, some sliced fruit (or even better, mash some fruit up in a food processor), 2nd layer of cake, slap the rest of whipped cream all around it, decorate with fruit slices all over. I remember it was a crowd pleaser, even with adults!
that looks absolutely lush
thank you both
