My partner works long hours and by end of the week is so exhausted however I still need help with our 7month old. Tonight I was showering her and needed his help and was yelling out, no response and called him heaps of times and eventually he came. I just got frustrated because he knows I’m in the shower with her and didn’t even come back to check on me to make sure I didn’t need any help. I brought up the issue with him and he goes ‘I’m sick of being whinged at and nothing I even do is good enough’.
We were then driving to dinner and he’s sitting in the back seat with our baby and she was screaming (she hates the car seat) and think he got overwhelmed with it all. I’m so annoyed with him and wish he’d understand my feelings. I feel like he just doesn’t care sometimes. Am I overthinking and overreacting about this?

You are not overthinking or reacting. Those feelings are very valid. You need a supportive partner and an understanding partner. I’m sorry things are challenging. I’d try to talk to him about it. We are all learning how to be parents. Doesn’t mean he isn’t doing it good enough.
