I can’t wrap my head around how on earth I feed my baby solids when I’m not at home - does anyone have any advice/suggestions please?
Atm baby girl is having 1 solid meal a day around 11am after her morning nap. (We are moving up to 2 meals a day when she hits 7 months).
She’ll have something like porridge and fruit or scrambled egg with mash sweet potato and avocado (a mixture of spoon and BLW). I can’t figure out how I would take this sort of food out with me if I happen to be out with her at 11ish and also feeding her with the mess etc 😅 would I just change her meal time or is there a knack to it?? 🙏

We use the Ella’s kitchen pouches! Xx

It can be tricky. Ultimately, you're going to have to change her mealtimes, because you will be doing 3 meals a day. So breakfast at 8-ish, lunch at midday-ish and dinner at 4/5-ish is something that often works. I personally tend to take a pouch if I'm out and about, just for ease, at least until they're a bit older and can have something from the menu/from my plate. Other than that, I will try and go somewhere where I can order something that I know I can modify for the baby (e.g. jacket potato/pasta). Or you can buy little pots to take homemade food out with you, though you will have to think about potentially warming it up (can you stand it in hot water or will you need to microwave it?), and obviously I take things like bananas/raspberries out with us. Fruit is a bit easier to have with you. It's definitely a learning curve!

I usually order a meal that she can pick at if I’m at a restaurant so she’s had:
- chicken
- mash potatoes
- sausages
- sticky rice
- butternut squash
I usually always pack her bowl, spoon and overall bib to accommodate for mess.

We had our first experience doing a meal while out this week, lunches we usually do fruit so just prepped some before leaving and when it was time for her to have it we found somewhere for us all to have lunch, it definitely got a little messy but nothing crazy and was easily cleaned

Yeah we just took pancakes / fritter type things or veggie sticks and I’d order something he could have pieces of - it’s nowhere near as scary as it might seem! Also when you’re in those super early phases the timings don’t *really* matter as it’s exposure you’re looking for x

I ate a lot of plain foods and ordered an extra side of veg and asked for it steamed with no seasoning
Most restaurants are extremely accommodating for this.
