Universal Credit Help Please

Hey, I got my first payment today. It's a lot lower than I was told it would be.

My total entitlement before deductions is over £700 (the amount I was told at my job centre meeting). After deductions I got just over £300.

In the breakdown, they've got my savings as over £5000 but most of that is the savings for my daughter & I was told that they don't take into account money for your kids so I'm so confused.

Anyone able to shed some light please?

Also, I thought I would get help with childcare but the 'report childcare cost' link isn't available on my home screen (my friend said that's where she sent her invoices through).. So does that mean I won't be getting any help with childcare cost after all? I was getting tax free childcare before.

Is the money for your daughter in your account?

Does it say what the deductions are for? My UC amount for September was super low because of my assessment period. So even though my last pay from work was end of August, because of my assessment period, my UC at the end of September was about a third of what I should get based on my September SMP amount.

Check your statement, make sure the total amount before deductions is right (i.e. all the elements are there that should be). Then check the deductions section to see what they have deducted. There are no deductions for savings under £6k. Happy to help further if needed as always check my friends statements are correct!

On the verge of divorce. Help.

Can someone give me the courage as we have a 6month old together and i live with my inlaws.
I need to know i’ll somehow do this, and we will be okay. I fully depend on him financially aswell. I have no savings. And my family lives in another country.
Edit: I need courage to leave, not stay. And its more serious than miscommunication.

Keeping toddler home from pre-school

Am I mean for keeping my toddler off pre-school in the fear we catch a sickness bug that’s going round?
We have plans next weekend and I really don’t want us coming down with anything before hand 🤦🏻‍♀️🙈

Does anyone else have a higher percentile boy?

I don't know who to share it with, because I don't want to come off as ungrateful for such a healthy, big boy.. but my son is now 2 and a half, and officially 92% in height, and 94% in weight. He was born at 21 inches, and has always been in the high 80-90% range for height, weight, and head size.

It's just.. it's hard. He's 2. He's still waiting to be held all the time, and it was starting to be a struggle to hold him starting around a year old. It's not fair to him. I feel guilty. He didn't understand why I would have to put him down so quickly when he was younger, and I hope it didn't make him feel like I didn't want to or something.

It's a weird situation that none of my friends can relate to.

Does anyone here relate?

Thanks for listening 💕

(Adding that I have used baby carriers, hip packs, etc. He doesn’t like them.)

Advice/ perspective

I have a two month old and his dad who lives 2 hours away wants him overnight like a week or 2 I told him I don’t feel comfortable with being far away from my baby for a week or even longer his dad is calling me selfish and controlling he is also saying that his family haven’t got to spend anytime with the baby either (they have just not as much as they want) am I being unreasonable? Would any one else send their 2 month old 2hrs away for a week or 2 ?

I feel done.

- for a whole month my son has been difficult, meltdowns intensely, he’s getting angry so quickly, he’s punching me up, he’s throwing his shit, he’s now broken my tv … and it’s like he doesn’t give a shit… we stopped nursery because this all began when that began…
We’ve educated him enough on do and donts and he knows & knows the consequences but I’m like… so numb and done

Sorry for the vent
