Risk assessment for pregnancy

I told my manager on Monday that I am pregnant (7+5) as I've been feeling quite tired and sick and thought she should know. I work in a nursery so the job is quite physical and involves lifting, cleaning etc.
She said she won't bother doing a risk assessment until I'm 12 weeks and that the pregnancy shouldn't impact how I work at this stage... not sure i agree with this, but not sure what I can say.
Any advice?

Hi, I also work in a nursery and told my manager at a similar time, i’m now 27 weeks pregnant. I’m pretty sure as soon as they are aware you are pregnant they are legally required to put a risk assessment in place and make adjustments where necessary to keep you and baby safe!

Id also say once you’ve got one, reflect on it regularly as your pregnancy progresses as there may be ‘risks’ that change that they will need to update for you, I think they’ve updated mine twice since the original!

There is some information here through one of the gov websites, also feel free to message me privately, I’m happy to share an example of my one from my first trimester if that’s helpful too 🤍

I’m a senior care assistant so slightly different job roll but as soon as you find out you are pregnant in a health care sector you have to inform your management so they can put a risk assessment in place regardless of what stage you’re at. You and baby come first x

100% should complete a risk assessment, it’s not an option, it’s their legal requirement x

Trying for second baby

How long after your 1st did you try for your 2nd baby?
I have fertility issues, our baby took 2 years to conceive, he has just turned 17 weeks today! I’m certain it will take me a long time to get pregnant again so I’m scared to wait too long before trying again

Announcing before 12 weeks?

Hi guys, just looking for some opinions really. I’m about ten and a half weeks pregnant and dying to announce my pregnancy on my socials. We had a scan this Wednesday and baby looks absolutely perfect, wriggling around and waving at us so after that I’m kinda feeling like what am I waiting for?
Before pregnancy I was always going out so posting on my socials constantly and now I’ve went like radio silent which is so weird for me!!
This is my first baby and I’m just so excited for everyone to know. When did everyone else announce?

Nausea/Sickness 26 weeks

Hiya all.
26 weeks pregnant and the nausea/sickness is still there 😭 some days are good some days are bad, no where near as bad as the first trimester, that wasn’t fun. I am on anti sickness tablets which I feel are starting to loose their effectiveness. I also have a 3 year old aswell. Finding this pregnancy a lot harder than my first. Anyone else experiencing this? X
